Who won what, Saturday 4th September - the Sky Poker crew have fun in Coventry

Afternoon.

MTT traffic last night was just about bang on the recent rolling average.

In the cricket, it all turned round yesterday, & England are now out to 16/5, with India odds on to win. Sadly, on what was one of the greyest & most overcast days I can remember, stumps were drawn early due to bad light.

In F1 Qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix, Max Verstappen secured pole, beating Lewis by just 4 one-hundredths of a second, in front of thousands of partisan fans.

In the Solheim Cup, Europe leads the USA by 5.5 to 2.5 after Saturday's rounds. There was some ill-feeling over a hole awarded to the USA after a referee intervened. If the spirit of golf was being correctly used, the USA should never have accepted that "free gift". And that's partly while I am not a fan of either the Solheim Cup or Ryder Cup. The behaviour of the galleries is a big factor too.

    heddoh was a busy boy, winning this, & making the final tables of 7 @ 7, Mega & Quickdraw. He also finalled no less than 6 (SIX) non-featured MTT's. So 9 FT's plus he won a bunch of sattys too. Quite a night for the hedster.

    In 5th was karlluke, who often used to do well in this but we've not seen her for a while.

    £6,000 Sharpshooter (£6,870)

    We are more used to seeing CHECK2YOU2 playing Reload & Mini, so not sure why they suddenly decided to play a Main but it worked out very nicely. Single-tabled it too.

    2nd was pointy-elbows himself, HAYSIE. Given how long he's been here, he's made Main Event finals an awful lot of times, though "how?" is one of those mysteries.

    @CHECK2YOU2 2290000 1 £927.45 + £323.47 Head Prizes 7

    £2,000 Mini Sharpshooter (£2,190)

    pacman bounced back to form, taking the Mini & 20 heads along the way. Has an incredible record including winning the Sunday Major twice this year, winning BWBH twice & Sharpshooter Main last Autumn.

    Excellent result for PLO8 Comp supremo coo1-um, with Donald in 6th, making at least his third Mini FT in the last month or so.

    @pacman821 4380000 1 £273.75 + £110.79 Head Prizes 20

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,200)

    TESCOSTEVE is a new name on me, & I was a little surprised to see that on Sky Poker we have at least 25 players with a "TESCO" prefix. Guess they enjoy value betting.

    In 4th was LmfaoAllin, who is a bit of a cook by trade. He made the concoction below yesterday, which I have to say looks delish.

    @TescoSteve 600000 1 £180 + £95.96 Head Prizes 4

    @RiverDream 0 2 £120 + £76.05 Head Prizes 7

    @heddoh18 0 3 £72 + £62.34 Head Prizes 5

    @LmfaoAllin 0 4 £60 + £24.37 Head Prizes 2

    @ForeSight 0 5 £48 + £39.84 Head Prizes 5

    @unbpower 0 6 £39 + £24.38 Head Prizes 3

    Here's that LmfaoAllin dessert - Champagne and elderflower jelly with set berries and blackcurrant sorbet. Pretty good, huh?

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,900)

    The winner is blocked on Sharky & I have no data either, so not a lot I can say.

    In 2nd was Jscorgie who had a blistering August, winning both Sunday Major and BWBH for a combined £6,000+.

    @JOLLYMACK 190000 1 £380 + £175.95 Head Prizes 3

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,764)

    mildsteal reinforced his ability to do well at a variety of stakes, taking last night's Reload in style. He finished 2nd to Bad Jumper in an SPT in Manchester a while back, collecting £11,000, & is seen raking in another pot below.

    @mildsteal0 1620000 1 £236.91 + £94.15 Head Prizes 10

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,600)

    Mav16 put in a full shift, starting mid-afternoon & had no luck until getting out of trouble in MidEx.

    The--Don won this the previous night (morning?) & finished 4th this time. Currently he's a fan of MTT's but expect that to change any day now.

    In other news...

    I was hoping to bring you good news from the Main event at GUKPT Coventry, but it turns out they were all Billy Let Downs & flattered only to deceive.

    One bright spot was a little Bounty Sidey, in which @Swog ran 4th & collected some £1,800. Very nice too, & he saved the day for Team Sky :Poker Touring Reprobates. Well done Swog.

    Seems like the crew had a good time judging by this 'photo though. Who can name them all - or even any of them? Note @PBKR appears to be without shoes....
