Morning.
MTT traffic was so-so, probably close to the current run-rate, though Sheriff & Turbo both recorded misses. we can hardly blame the England - Andorra match for that.
In Sport, the England-India test took a remarkable turn, & we should be set for an exciting day. The Draw is now favourite at 13/10, with India 7/4 & England 11/4. All three results are very possible.
In golf, the Solheim Cup enters it's final day today, with Europe holding a 2 point lead. In the FedEx Cup, Patrick Cantlay won narrowly from Jon Rahm & in doing so picked up a $15,000,000 (£10,700,000) cheque. That's serious money. Patrick is not exactly bursting with personality, but oh my, he's a great golfer & very calm under pressure. Imagine having to birdie the last, as he did, to win $15 milly...
There were bizarre goings in in the Brazil - Argentina World Cup Qualifier, when police came on the field & arrested 4 Argentinian footballers who play in the English Premier League for breaking COVID protocols. One would have thought there was an easier way to have dealt with that before the game started. The game, unsurprisingly, was abandoned.

Great result, Natalie Bromley takes 7 @ 7. She was at GUKPT Coventry all weekend, (husband Adam got a £1,390 cash in the GUKPT Main) ands she made a great call against Albert Sapiano which was highlighted on stream. She's a busy young lady, what with her day job in the legal profession, her Burnley Podcast - "No Nay Never" - newspaper articles, playing poker & Lord knows what else. I've no idea what she does in her spare time. A truly lovely lady.

This went to nagrom. 13 years & 21,000 games into their Sky Poker journey I've only just realised that "nagrom" is "Morgan" in backwards speak. Back in the day, bookmakers were renowned for backwards speak, so when you heard a bookie shout "neves" or "rof" to his bookie colleagues you knew what they were saying. Everyone knew the code, so I'm really not sure why they did it. Butchers did it too. Yes, butchers. Don't even ask why.

£12,000 Sunday Major (£13,600)
Palace has had a bit of 2nd-itis lately but it all came good last night when he took down the Major. He has an amazing ability to both build & dust off stacks in record time & he's a nightmare to share tables with. One thing he does understand is variance & he really takes his beats like a grown-up & almost never chunters when variance goes against him. He's also extremely small but pleasantly podgy.
Natnug, who won both Mini & MidEx on the same night recently, was runner-up.
HAYSIE was top three for most of the tourney, but age caught up with the old fella eventually & he faded to 8th.

£1,500 Mini Major (£1,790)
Mini Major was won by MurphyRob, best previous result was winning Mega back in June.
Runner-up Donald aka @thisltedu was making his 5th Mini Final since April, including 2 Mini majors.
lukeylund was 3rd & the elusive Chalky666, still to claim his £33 free entry for winning MML, was 5th.
Natnug came close to the FTJ - 2nd in the Major & 20th here.
MISTY4ME was using a free entry for a recent Daily Forum Comp runner-up spot, & turned it into £23.27 for 10th place. It looks like he won last week's Daily Forum Comp outright, so he's on a roll right now. When not pokering, he's a very decent golfer.
Down amongst the small cashes were Toffeeandy, The--Don & waller02.
Just sneaking into the money with a min-cash was craigcu12, aka Mike Yarwood.

£1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,629)
Reload went to Theghost92, who pretty much only players the Mini &/or Reload, & usually one-tables. When one-tabling a win must feel super-sweet.
hazelwoo05 was runner-up, then went on to win two little Turbo BH's before logging off around 4am this morning. Proper night owl, hence the "woo" in his name presumably.

In other news...
GUKPT Coventry & over £100,000 went to Steve Jelenik, who is proper old school & has been on the scene for the best part of 20 years. He won a WSOP Bracelet back in about 2009 in Limit Hi-Lo of all things & has also run 2nd in a GUKPT for serious money. At the poker table he can't stand bad beat stories or strategy talk, so he tends to read a book, but don't worry, his eyes are everywhere. Most poker players who have been around as long as Steve have a few blemishes on their record but I've never heard anyone bad-mouthing him. He married a poker dealer from Slovenia or somesuch & she was a pretty decent player too. Pretty sure @NChanning will know a good deal more about him than I do though. Well done Steve.
Hon Mention
For a great night generally, 1st 1st & 2nd....@loololollo
POTD
