Afternoon.
Will have to be brief today.
MTT numbers were somewhere near the running average, though Sheriff hits it best number in two months.
In sport, it was all about the ladies in the USA. First, Europe retained the Solheim Cup, winning 15-13 in Inverness, Ohio. 3 days of listening to the gallery chanting "USA USA" was pretty boorish, but it will be worse when the Ryder Cup - the male version - starts later this month. Even so, it was decent viewing, & the European team thoroughly deserved their win, which was on away soil against the backdrop of a hostile gallery & no travelling supporters
Then, last night at Flushing Meadows, New York, Britain's Emma Raducanu easily disposed of Shelby Rogers to reach the Quarter Finals of the US Open Tennis. Big shock, that. Emma looks to be a star in the making, very mature mentally with her feet firmly planted on the ground. A World Top Ten spot will be hers well before she reaches 20 years of age.

Sharky have a very modest opinion of goodwin02, but will maybe have to revise that after this spectacular result, Main Events wins don't come easy.bearlyther was 3rd with BooBoo 4th.
Whilst the name Goodwin is fresh in our minds, there used to be a player on the Live scene by the name of Marc Goodwin, & his nickname was Mr Cool. Here's a 2 minute fun video of Mr Goodwin clashing with our very own @NChanning. This was 10 or 12 years ago I suspect, but students of body language will love this, and there was certainly some frost in the air. PS - must be nice to flop this well, but can he get paid?

Car-crash Marky took this from the alleged nit Duesenberg. I say "alleged" as I don't believe that smokescreen for one minute. Dues was streaming last night & I rather wished I'd watched this, would have been a fun heads up I fancy, as both players are good-natured, can take a beat like grown-ups & love a gamble.
humberfish, 6th in the Main, was 4th here.

£1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,050)
Gambelo, who has only played here intermittently this year, took Sheriff. He has won the "dream double" in the last 12 months, taking a Sunday Major & Summit for £5,200 & £1,900 respectively & he also ran 2nd in another Major this Spring. With the smell of UKOPS in the air I daresay we'll see more of him in the coming months.

From a small sample size UnEuropean is certainly making a mark, has already won a BWBH & a Quickdraw, 2nd in a Major, now adds Turbo to what is fast becoming a stellar résumé.
Jscorgie, who took down both a Major & a Summit last month, was runner-up, with BooBoo 3rd & the personable Collabo in 4th.

cazam has a Sharky which indicates this was their first ever MTT. Whether that's accurate I have no idea. but we've certainly never seen them in the thread before.Woebegone, perhaps named in honour of that wonderful book about life in small-town America by Garrison Keillor, was 2nd, with Cuzzybait adding 3rd to his runner-up spot in Sheriff a little earlier.

In other news...
After that surprise win in the Main, it goes to....
@goodwin02
Dexys Midnight Runners (note, no apostrophe) had a handful of hits in the 80's & have lived off them ever since. The band still performs, but only Kevin Rowland survives from the glory days.
Come On Eileen.

Ahh, thank you Mr TC.
PS - Pleased to see you have joined the Daily Forum Comp & a few other community Comps. Hope you have a bit of fun & maybe win a prize or two.
What? Admittedly I was rushing, but I've no idea how I forgot that. Scandalous omission.
Cricket was awesome btw @Tikay10
