Who won what, Tuesday 7th September - spectacular skyflyer & earns a £1,500 share of the FTJ

Morning.

A thin night for MTT traffic, even Gold Rush Main failed to cover, that's not happened for at least two months. Turbo, MidEx & £1k BH missed too. I suppose the beautiful weather never helped, ditto the football, though it's hard to imagine great swathes of poker players preferred to watch Scotland labour to victory over Austria. Anyway, whatever the excuses, it was not a great night.

In yesterday's thread I quite inexplicably omitted to mention India's splendid win over England in the fourth Test. I'm actually glad several readers noticed though, I often feel I'm talking to myself in here. Once again, as is so often the case, an England batting collapse was the catalyst. It's a bit frustrating that in Joe Root England have, on current form, the best batsman in the world - & worst Captain. Get a proper Captain & England could be a powerful force.

Exciting times in Tennis, as teenage sensation - not a word I'm using lightly here - Emma Raducanu from Bromley in Kent plays her US Open Quarter Final tonight. It's a huge ask for her & she'll probably fail, but this girl is superstar material & will brighten up UK Tennis for years to come if she can stay physically & emotionally healthy. Her match is scheduled for 5pm (UK time) & I hope a few of you manage to watch & cheer her on. A smile is rarely absent from her face, which is so good to see.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£798)

    skyflyer took 7 @ 7 to start off what was to prove a spectacular session, with two wins, 4 FT's & a chunky slice of Final Table Jackpot.

    Boxster has been a little off-form of late but 3rd here may suggest the start of an upturn.

    £5,000 Gold Rush (£5,000)

    And after that early win in 7 @ 7, skyflyer completed a rapid double in taking down the Main. There was a sidebar here too, as when it got heads up bigfatfish disconnected, so skyflyer sat out until he returned. Not many would do that.

    Was a tough final this, with bigfstfish (2nd) making his third Main Event final in less than three weeks - 6th, 3rd & 2nd.

    It was class all the way too, with BooBoo 3rd, roddy4th, ItsOver4U 5th & extraman 6th.

    £1,500 Mini Gold Rush (£1,970)

    wk111 has a remarkable record in Gold Rush Mini, & was winning it for the third time last night, almost exactly two years since last winning it.

    The big news was skyflyer in third, so with 1st in the Main & 3rd in the Mini she picks up a very useful £1,500 from the Final Table Jackpot kitty.

    By a curious coincidence, in 4th was RogueCell who was herself a FTJ winner - 2nd in Main & 4th in Mini - some 5 years ago. She also celebrates her birthday this month, though thanks to my increasingly erratic memory I can't remember what date.

    @wk111 3940000 1 £248.71 + £58.82 Head Prizes 6

    @Des1977Des 0 2 £144.79 + £41.10 Head Prizes 11

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,060)

    Bit of a B+ affair this, with BEACHBABY, Bleurgh & BooBoo all featuring in the top 4.

    Pleasing to see the absolute nutjob Markycash make another final too.

    £5,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£6,200)

    Less than a month since taking down BWBH for over £2,000, heellloooo added Summit to their CV. That's a high-class double.

    In 2nd, mnolan8317 enjoyed their best result since picking up almost £5,000 in winning the Sunday Major in February.

    As you might expect with a £110er, a table full of quality players, with Palace, Roddy, whitters & Crushy all featuring.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,500)

    Plenty of serial finalists here, with nishg (6th in £1k BH) taking the top spot.

    THETANK (3rd) had also finalled Reload.

    Recent Major winner Jscorgie was 4th.

    Three finals on the night for BooBooTheB - 3rd in Main, 4th in Mega & 5th here.

    6th was Collabo, who had a quiet night, except in the chatbox, where he's easily the chattiest player on the site.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,040)

    Crushy took this, in addition to 6th in Summit. Timers are tough for him this month without his weekly £1,000 payment for winning the Sky Poker premier League almost every week.

    UnEuropean, who won Turbo the previous night, was 4th.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,000)

    Just three MTT's for DUTCHESS62 last night, no luck in Main & Mega but took MidEx to make for a nice profitable session.

    thtkdtom is a new name on me, but finalled both Quicky (3rd) & MidEx (4th).

    A stunning evening for skyflyer ended with 4th here, so;

    1st in 7 @ 7

    1st in Main

    3rd in Mini

    5th in MidEx

    £1,500 from the FTJ.

    Add that lot up & it comes to the fat end of £3,000. Very nice, & after her conduct in the Main, it shows karma is a thing.

    @DUTCHESS62 141000 1 £196.10 + £101.79 Head Prizes 5

    @pressious 0 2 £116.60 + £102.87 Head Prizes 9

    @the-sock 0 3 £79.50 + £7.50 Head Prizes 1

    In other news...

    The WSOP has made it known that for those attending this year's WSOP at The Rio (starts end of this month) players will be required to wear masks at all times EXCEPT when seated at the poker table.

    Sadly, the WSOP this year will have to manage without, arguably, the best living female poker player, Kristen Bicknell, & her fiancé Alex Foxen. Both are fervent anti-vaxxers & have made it known loudly & repeatedly that they will be boycotting the WSOP in protest at the requirement to be double-vaxxed. As it happens they would not be permitted to play anyway, as double-vaccination is the rule, so they are banned anyway. Quite how they can boycott something they are banned from I still need to figure out.

    Shame in so many ways, she & Alex seem a lovely couple.
