A 9/11 float featuring a depiction of the twin towers and billowing smoke sparked backlash from critics calling it tasteless at a parade in Indiana on Saturday. The float, sponsored by the Valparaiso Republican Committee was featured as part of the 40th Annual Popcorn Festival in the city, which this year fell on the 20th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Backlash was such that the committee limited commenting on the group's Facebook page, (right) and filtered out comments critical of the float.
