Who won what, Monday 27th September - 14 year Sky Poker veteran wins the Main

Afternoon.

Just a brief run through today due to time issues.

Traffic was a bit meh last night, neither terrible nor great.

In sport, Vieira's Palace were robbed of 2 points when Brighton scrambled an equaliser in the 95th minute. Even so, for a little club like Palace - essentially a Champo/League One side - to get a point from a big club like Brighton suggests they are massively over-achieving. In terms of the size of the club they are on a par with teams like Millwall & AFC Wimbledon, so a draw with Brighton is no disgrace. They let themselves down after the final whistle though when it all got a bit handbaggy.

News emerged today that 1966 World Cup player Roger Hunt has passed away. He was a Liverpool stalwart & once scored 41 goals in a season from exactly 41 games. And all these years on he remains Liverpool's record scorer with 244 goals. Much like Jimmy Greaves, who was of the same era, he was an immensely humble man.

Despite playing less than 100 MTT's in the last month, MrTucker - which strikes me as a very formal alias - was winning the £1k BH for the third time since the end of August.

The practice of "Spoonerisms" which many of us enjoyed in our pre-adolescent years appears still to be alive & well judging by the alias of the runner-up.

Arrogant has been a little quiet lately but popped up in 3rd, with Super_Oli 5th & Makaka 6th.

    £5,000 Marksman Bounty Hunter (£5,670)

The Marksman Main went to Timo615, who has been on the site since it first began over 14 years ago, & he featured on the TV Show a few times & regularly played the old Take On Tikay. Not sure he's ever won a Main before though, so a big score for him.

    £1,500 Mini Marksman (£1.505)

Many players may not think a Mini win is much to shout about, but on Sunday he was playing £0.25 DYM's so winning the Mini last night & picking up almost £250 seems a pretty big bink for Mr Binky.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,060)

A topical win with the SPT recently announced, as dear old ctbn, who won an SPT in 2012, took Mega. Hopefully, the old buffer will grace us with his considerable presence at SPT Manchester.

His SPT win was back in 2012, & Jen Mason was the runner-up. Talk about Beauty & the Beast. That SPT was held at Les Croupiers in Cardiff, which was a terrific little venue, sited in the car park, in effect, of Cardiff City FC. We had hoped to return, but what with this & that we never did.
