Morning.
Traffic last night was neither here nor there. Could use being being better, but that's always so, no matter how good or bad they are.
Last night I watched Celtic play Bayer Leverkusen. I've not watched Scottish football for many a year, & after that showing, doubt I ever will again. It was a stroll in the Park for their opponents, real men against Bhoys. Rangers were beaten too. Has Scottish football ever been at a lower ebb?
And to make things worse, racism reared it's ugly head yet again. What IS the matter with people?

Dospair has been here a dozen or more years without capturing my attention or making too many headlines, so it's a lovely surprise to see they won last night's 7 @ & are now a paid up member of Team Results Thread.

46229, aka Duchess of Hamilton, had a prolonged heads up duel with MattBates & to the surprise of many it was the former who emerged triumphant. 46229 has been here a very long time, at least 10 years if I'm not mistaken. I can quite certainly recall mention of them on a TV Show in about 2012, & in fact I'm pretty sure they are acquainted with karlluke, who was 4th here. And no I'm not suggesting any poker (or non-poker...) jiggery-pokery, but Tina made reference to 46229 being a family friend in a Forum post in 2012.

23blackeye has been here 3 years & this was their biggest ever win by a considerable margin. Single-tabled it from start to finish too. Many congrats blackeye.
ozzieowen, 2nd in Reload a few nights ago, was 3rd here.
icfone seems to be very much on the upgrade, won last Friday's Quickdraw & was 6th here.

The winner's claim to fame was winning a UKOPS Mini some 7 years ago that had 850 (EIGHT HUNDRED & FIFTY) entries. They don't make Mini field sizes like that any more.
Kahuna96 was 3rd with gibbzy, who was the winner of the September Orfordable League, in 4th.

Mega went to AdzCUFC, their first victory of note as far as I can see. Presumably a Cambridge United fan, so I bet it felt nice to win for a change.
2nd was ctbn, who seems to be running into form just in time for Manchester SPT.

An unusually tough Quickdraw Final too, with the likes of nishg, StayOrGo, seikus & BooBoo all involved.

In other news...
DTD cardroom, Nottingham
Happy days, after being closed for 18 months thanks to COVID, DTD re-opens today. Well done to rob Yong & Nick Whiten, & I'm quite sure the place will be rammed tonight.2021 WSOP
This has started, & hopefully daily updates will appear on the Forum starting later today. I did do a thread yesterday which got zero interaction, but hopefully once it gets going more interest will be shown. It's the first WSOP I've missed since around 2003, but I'm not in the least jealous or envious of those who are there. And if you believe that...Michael Addamo super-duper heater.
News reaches us of an extraordinary heater by Michael Addamo. In the space of 12 days he has won THREE Super High Rollers in Las Vegas.$50,000 entry Poker Masters # 11, 1st for $680,000
$100,000 entry Poker Masters # 12, 1st for $1,160,000
$300,000 entry Super High Roller Bowl, 1st for $3,402,000
Those numbers are so big I can barely imagine them. I can't even imagine paying $50,000 let alone $100,000 or $300,000 to even enter a poker tourney. These boys live in a different world, but good luck to them.
Another Mark Knopfler track today. Here's a wonderful 13 minutes of Telegraph Road.
