Who won what, Saturday 9th October - the new Sheriff in town is a lady

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,818

Morning.

Just a brief run through today, I've overslept & I feel a little second-hand today.

A decent enough night for MTT traffic. The later stuff did particularly well, perhaps because folks were staying up to watch the UFC & boxing. The Sheriff in particular did especially well, highest for several months.

The boxing? By all accounts it was vicious in Vegas, with both boxers on the canvas at various stages. I wonder what AJ is thinking this morning?

    I'm not going to repeat the name, but the winner last appeared in these threads 14 months ago when 4th in a £1k BH. I can't begin to imagine why someone would think it's OK to use such an alias.

    gac123 took that, & has some really good form in the book but has barely been seen since the Summer, probably less than 50 MTT's in the last 4 months.

    What a FT it was for a £1k-er too, it would not disgrace a Sunday Major Final, which all 6 are capable of winning, in fact most of them have. Tough gig when you have to beat that lot to win £300.

    Always good to see a new name on the Main Event Roll of Honour, so well done to Am_I_Bait, which is a nice antidote to all the "fish" aliases. Only previous form of note was winning a 7 @ 7 in April, though only has ~60 games lifetime, so we can't assume anything.

    ozzie was 3rd, with tonyp142 making it back-to-back finals in 4th, having run 6th in that hot £1k BH.

    £2,000 Mini Sharpshooter (£2,125)

    A smart win by dapper1, and that's another new name to these threads.

    SkyDiveBen - what a great alias - landed in 2nd place.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,160)

    If the alias of the Mega winner rings a bell, it's almost certainly down to them winning a a £20,000 Easter UKOPS BH last year & walking away with £5,700.

    MattBates was 6th, and he had a busy night, making 4 different Finals. Not big stuff, but, you know, little & often does the job.

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,250)

    Wow. As a personal friend I admit to bias, but this was a spectacular win for kidgirlgy in the biggest Sheriff for several months & against a typically tough Sheriff FT.

    I happened upon this (superbly written, don't you agree?) article on SkySports.com this morning, penned 11 long years ago.

    Congratulations, it's a girl!

    And how did she get on in the $10,000 entry WSOP Main? 334th, for $36,463. She was not exactly a youngster then, & now, 11 years later she's still able to win a Sheriff. Don't mess with Sue.

    Runner-up StayOrGo probably knows Sue actually, as both are SPT regulars, & both will be at SPT Manchester next month. The lattes are on Sue.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,719)

    A mini heater for gitmen, winning last night's Reload, as well as a £150 Turbo BH on Friday. It was his 2nd Reload win this month, & there's also a Mini UKOPS victory on the CV.

    @gitmen 671187.36 £53.24 Head Prizes 10 £20.71

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,800)

    JBERGZ has some serious form, wins include Sheriff, Predator Main & Quickdraw, to which we can now add Turbo.

    @JBERGZ 300000 1 £333 + £214.45 Head Prizes 8

    @sadierose 0 2 £198 + £139.75 Head Prizes 9

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,560)

    In just 450 games UnEuropean has built a really impressive record with numerous wins - this was their 2nd Quickdraw - the best of which was a BWBH.

    A successful but frustrating night for StayOrGo, with three runner-up spots, £1k BH, Sheriff & Quickdraw.

    Same applies to bigfatfish who made 5 or 6 Finals last night but was unable to grab a win.

    @UnEuropean 194000 1 £273 + £193.43 Head Prizes 5

    @StayOrGo 0 2 £171.60 + £54.37 Head Prizes 4

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,480)

    Not a very recognizable alias, but in fact gerryf1971 was winning MidEx for the 2nd time in 11 months.

    @gerryf1971 222000 1 £214.60 + £116.45 Head Prizes 5

    @kellerman 0 2 £140.60 + £50.91 Head Prizes 4

    Nothing to report today, the poker news is dominated by the WSOP & we do that separately.

    Ahh, thanks Tom.

    I'm fine thanks, feeling a little creaky at the moment but otherwise I'm tip-top.

    Hope you & the family are all in good shape.

    Morning Tony,

    Thanks for the kind words, they unlocked some great memories of the Viva Las Vegas trip, and especial the avalance of good wishes from everyone in the community, the Mexican Wave was something special. Oh yeah Dave's feet still ache from 5 days of standing up railing, it was the fittest he's ever been.

    Last night was a rush of great cards, good flops, and more than my fair share of handing out bad beats; besting both Neil & Ryan was especially pleasing, as they do bully me and Dave.....

    Dave & I love all your threads on here and next door, so be assured these are well worth all the efforts you put into them; it's just a shame more people don't communicate this to you.

    Really looking forward to the SPT, lets hope the cards are kind to me.

    Thanks again

    Love & xxxx's

    AJ is thinking he doesn't want to fight either of them, ever. They will find him out big time, IMO of course.
