Who won what, Sunday 10th October - jordz16 wins the Major yet again

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,822

Morning.

Traffic was so-so last night, with Quickdraw the star turn coming in at a 3 week high.

It was the F1 Turkish GP yesterday, held in wet & miserable conditions. Bottas won with relative ease, his first win this season. Lewis Hamilton, starting 11th on the grid, ended up 5th, despite getting a strop on & initially disobeying team orders to pit for tyres. Not much of a team player, Lewis. It's reported that Mercedes pay him around $60 million per season. For that sort of money I'd expect him to do exactly as he is told.

£700 7 @ 7 £980

£12,000 Sunday Major £13,700

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£980)

evoecfc - I wonder what that stands for? - took the 7 @ 7. Has some decent results in the book, especially early this year when they won a 690 runner Mini for £470 & ran 2nd in a big Avenger Main for £1,500.

utang was 3rd, & later ran 2nd in Mega. Been a good week for utang, highlighted by winning Friday's Turbo.

A personal best for obsti, played over 3,000 games here & this was their biggest score by some way. Won a £22 satellite to the Major but never played it, so more profit there too.

Claytov & rancid occupied the lower podium steps with roddy28 in 4th.

    £12,000 Sunday Major (£13,700)

jordz took control towards the latter stages & it was never in doubt after that. Everyone knows of jordz, but it's not generally realised just how good he is. In the last 18 months or so he has now won the Major three times, Summit 4 times, Avenger Main & plenty else besides.

In the mid-stages hughjarse9 had a solid lead but he faded to finish 11th.

BlairReid was prominent throughout too, but had to eventually settle for 15th, a spot ahead of StayOrGo.

The last two money spots went to wineli & scotty77.

    £1,500 Mini Major (£1,580)

BUNDIS won a Mini Sharpshooter earlier this year & added Mini Major last night. Has also finished 2nd in a Mini Avenger. Bit of a Mini specialist then.

Runner-up hhammerhea has a terrific ROI if we believe Sharky, close to 50% over a 5,000 game sample.

There were 158 entries, 3 of whom were in via Free Entries won in various Forum Comps - hhammerhea, spearsy136 & Asho28 - & they finished 2nd, 7th & 8th. Between them they collected some £340. Not bad for freebies.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,140)

dmouse1307 does not have much form of note but must have done well here to beat a decent Mega FT which included utang, GREGSTER, whitters & Crushy.

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,750)

thebookie2 played 4 All-In Sats to Sheriff costing £3 each, won one of them, then went & won Sheriff proper for £700. Not bad from a £12 outlay, but we all know the bookie always wins.

It was a 2nd FT of the night for both roddy28 & ozzieowen.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,560)

robert281 is a night owl who has won MidEx 5 times so far this year, and changed tack last night to try Reload - & won it.

hhammerhea had already finished 2nd in the Mini Major from a free entry, & was 2nd here too, so picked up almost £450 for a £3.30 outlay.

In 4th was LitlGenral, famous for winning the full £5,000 FTJ in 2019, and recently won 7 @ 7 twice in 3 nights as well as a Sharpshooter Mini.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£2,070)

Turbo winner dakky has a very solid CV, has won both Avenger & Sharpshooter Mains for a combined £5,000, as well as three times a BWBH runner-up for another £4,000.

    Good FT too, with KLL-y & seikus 2nd & 3rd, & Alvez 6th.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,620)

An unusually strong Quickdraw Final, with it's 2nd highest prize pool for a few weeks. Curt took the top spot, with the likes of Sharki0, grinddd, Tedson & Arrogant all thereabouts.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,020)

POKEOFFU had a very good night, 2nd in Sheriff & then won MidEx for the 3rd time this year.

Mody & Arrogant have contrasting styles & abilities, and it was Mody who finished 2nd with Arrogant 3rd.

Post-lockdown, folks can't get enough Live poker it seems.

They had a 30/30 at Luton with a £50,000 guarantee - & it made £175,680. Rumour has it Terry Jordan contributed at least 10 buy-ins, but even so, that's some prize pool for a 30/30.

Just imagine being on a table that included Terry Jordan, Albert Sapiano & Ali Mallu & trying to get a pre-flop move through.

Not sure we've ever featured Queen before, so let's put that right with this classic. Eat your heart out @Duesenberg

I heard you were at Luton so I was a little surprised when I saw you were 3rd in the Major, just assumed you had played it on your 'phone from the Luton cardroom.

    Terry is different gravy, eh?
