Having at last got around to joining my local casino, I am looking at the various types of tournaments that they hold. One of them that caught my eye was a ..... Triple Chance Freezeout. Just wondered exactly what this was. Can any of the good folk on here enlighten me Posted by JockBMW
my educated guess is that you will have 3 stacks to play with, effectivley u have paid for 2 rebuys before u start. say the start of the tourney u begin with 5000 chips u will have 2 stacks of 5000 in reserve so to speak in case of any accidents, after a set period of time any stack that you havent used will be credited to u, ie after 2 hours u never had to get a 2nd stack and had run up the original stack to 10k then they would credit u with the 2 remaining stacks taking u to 20k. this is my understaning of it but i could be wrong, someone somewhere will have a definite answer, hope this helps
You get your original starting chips, but if you run out, you can rebuy a maximum of twice and an add on after the alloted time after the rebuys, then its a normal freezout game.

i dont believe this is correct, if its say £40 treble chance then the £40 you pay at the start only gets you the starting stack, if you lose this stack then you have to pay another £40 to get another stack, then if you lose that you buy another one for £40, with a treble chance you are allowed 3 reubys within the alloted time, you can use these when either a)you lose your stack or b)when your chip stack goes below a certain level. you can either have 3 rebuys, or 2 rebuys and an add on at the end of the rebuy period, you are not allowed to addon if you have used your 3 rebuys. hope this clears it up.

am i lol? ive played a few and theyre exactly how ive said, but if im wrong then fair enough, tried googling it but just comes up with various tournies etc
i found one, im wrong, which is quite strange because the casino advertised it has a triple chance freezout yet when you were out you had to pay for the rebuy addon etc.

This is what I would expect for either a double or triple chance tourny. There is no tournament i've ever seen where you pay up front and possibly get given some chips later!

It`s not possibly, it`s definitely. Your choice is when you want to take them. You can have your `triple` chips as soon as you sit or you can wait to bust, then get another stack etc
