Mother-of-four's fury as neighbour plants massive shipping container with smoke-billowing chimney in his garden to use as a 'conservatory'

The woman, who did not want to be identified, said the monstrosity has loomed high over her fence since being dropped just steps away from her living room doors 18 months ago. Around 19 feet in height, the 'eyesore' has also left her family unable to open windows due to 'toxic' smoke billowing into her home from a makeshift chimney, she claims. The mother, who lives with two of her children in the Bransholme area, said she has made six complaints to Hull City Council regarding the container. She claims it is of equal annoyance to many of her neighbours, too, with the makeshift chimney being used daily.

I think a fresh coat of paint will smoothe things over.

    Around 19 feet in height

Slight exaggeration there. It'll be either 8'-6" or 9'-6". So lets call it half of what the article suggests.

Almost correct, it'll be 20'-0" long. Quite a difference between height & length though.

They are surprisingly expensive, a good 2nd hand one can easily cost £2,000, plus the cost of delivery.

Things like this really p1ss me off as it ain't a f6cking conservatory. If they want a conservatory build a f2cking proper one. Why the f3ck does a 'conservatory' need a chimney ? Local councils are a law unto themselves.

You not keen on the design then?
