Afternoon.
UKOPS Day 4 numbers were much smaller than days 1 to 3, with aggregate prize pools only 10% above guarantees. In addition, the £10,000 Main missed by exactly £1,000. Why so? Presumably because the Main was a vanilla freezeout. From time to time folks come on the Forum & bemoan too many BH's, but the fact is, the bulk of the Sky Poker MTT population prefer BH's, they just do. Tonight, there's a £220 entry £15,000 guarantee High Roller, clashing with CL football on the telly, so that will be interesting. However, even in non-UKOPS weeks there's a Summit every Tuesday, so maybe it will be fine.
The sporting highlight was in the T20WC where Jos Buttler hit an astonishing unbeaten century. In T20 cricket, centuries are very rare, & this was an absolute corker. It's all going so well for England. Almost too well one is tempted to think.
The Premier League action was Wolves v Everton. Sadly for Everton fans, they never turned up until the 2nd half, because they actually looked a better team once they got their heads in the right place. Pickford was to blame for Wolves second goal, despite which he spent the whole match waving his arms & berating his defenders, as he always does. An Everton player is going to chin him one of these days.
Talking of arm-wavers, Antonio Conte has got the Spurs gig. Now if ever there was an arm-waver it's Conte, it's hugely amusing to watch him flapping his arms in all directions from the touchline. So at least we will get some entertainment from Spurs matches, which will make a very welcome change.

UKOPS 20 £5,000 Rebuy B/Hunter (£6,500)
A very decent FT here, & it was donkhunta, of whom we hear very little, who emerged as the last man standing.
clarke996 is emerging as one of the surprise packages of this UKOPS. He took down Sunday's UKOPS High Roller for over £5,600, was 2nd here, 2nd in last night's Main & currently sits 2nd in the UKOPS Leaderboard. Lots of 2nds there.
The current leader in the UKOPS leaderboard is Jscorgie who finished 4th here.
5th & 6th were bigfatfish & whitters95, so as you can see, it was quality all the way.
4th was PKRPar, who despite some minor real-life distractions - his wedding - is playing well at present, including winning last Tuesday's Gold Rush Main. Thoughts & prayers with the soon-to-be Mrs Par.

UKOPS 21 £10,000 Freezeout (£10,000)
Another super tough FT & you could have had very long odds about leez emerging as the winner, as he seems more at home in high value Heads Up Turbos, but he got the job done in splendid fashion.
Those two UKOPS Leaderboard battlers clarke996 & Jscorgie were 2nd & 3rd, what a tussle they are having, & I fancy there's plenty more of that to come.
Mr Channing had his best result (so far) of the current UKOPS, finishing 4th. I am utterly convinced I will see him win a decent UKOPS in due course which I look forward to immensely. When you are ready please Neil, I'm not a young man.
chrisdboy (5th) is another making a dash for the UKOPS leaderboard, where he sits 3rd.
craigcu12 (6th) enjoyed his best score of the Series, in fact his best result since he ran 5th in the Sunday Major won by Dog Bloke a month ago.
There was a remarkable bubble battle for 13th & 14th between Duesenberg & Super_Oli, which reportedly lasted around 7 hours - or at least it seemed like that to the rail. In the end, they both out-nitted gac123 who got tired of waiting for them but managed to cash, with HurriKane going home empty-handed.

Washyboy99 owned the Mini, & as far as I can see that's a personal best for himIn 4th was Gerrard69, who recorded a brace of MidEx wins in August & September.
Wacko90 was not a million miles away from the FTJ - 11th in the 8pm Main, 8th in the 8.30pm Mini.

UKOPS 23 £3,000 Bounty Hunter (£3,360)
GuyL2 took this. Was putting in decent volume early this year, then mostly disappeared before returning on Sunday after being completely absent for a month. Plenty of great results in early 2021 including a Easter UKOPS Hyper, a Summit, Gold Rush Main & Hitman Main. If he puts in any volume this week he could well become a lively Leaderboard prospect.
AKAscotty, 6th in the opening night Mini UKOPS was 4th, with BlairReid 5th & Crushy 6th.

Delighted to see The_Reflex, who finds most of his action at DYM's, show he still has decent MTT game too. He made a deep run in a very entertaining pre-COVID SPT Manchester, finishing 7th after busting in a 3 way coup with @bigfatfish & @Curt360x27
janechrist made their thread debut last Thursday when winning Sheriff, & showed it was no fluke with a runner-up spot here, with some very accomplished players behind in the form of heddoh, Tedson & cabbaz.
HurriKane, who bubbled the Main, got some consolation in 6th place.

SPT Manchester Semi (18 runners)
This was a fun battle. memfno & carravagio both nabbed their Manchester. It was also good to see @IVIystical, already committed to attending, pick up his seat after winning through from a £2 All-In Sat, which means he got 100/1 his money. Nice odds those.
bbMike missed out on the seat, but collected a very useful £132, so I'm sure he won't be too disappointed, unlike @NOSTRI who had the honour of bubble boy. He took it well though. Reasonably well, anyway.

That's it for today, I'm out of time, but I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully with all the trimmings.
I'm going to bite.🎣🎣
I know you dislike Pickford but to blame him and not the awful back pass which let the striker in on goal perfectly is a little unfair.
Probably fair comment but I find it hard to be unbiased about him, & I expect Virgil van Dijk feels the same.
He's not exactly a calming presence though is he? If he calmed down a bit, stopped flapping his arms, shouting at everyone & concentrated on doing his job better, I'm sure I could warm to him, I'm not really someone who easily dislikes anyone. Then again I don't suppose he is too bothered about what I think.
PS - & yes, I do sometimes go fishing for a reaction, it gets lonely in these threads.
Couldnt help maeself
Yes, when he gets all hyper is when he makes the dreadful mistakes.
I believe he was seeing a sports psychologist last season and he did seem calmer.
I don't know if he has continued.
Aah, I never knew that. Fair play to him then, if he can cure himself of being such a flapper he'll be much better, & admitting he has the problem is half the battle.
Oh, & well done for rising above my vicious VvD jibe.
