Who won what, UKOPS Day 5, Tuesday 2nd November - some quite remarkable performances

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 166,944

Afternoon.

An eye-popping night, with some really interesting results, more on which later.

Prize Pools covered guarantees by around 13%, though the opener missed by £600, & UKOPS 30 came up 3 entries shy. Considering CL football was on the box, I guess those numbers are not too bad.

Manchester United were a little fortunate to come away with a 2-2 draw, & they can thank the freak that is Ronaldo for that. Whether you are a CR7 fan or not, watch him whilst you can, as I suspect there never be another like him in our lifetime.

The Newcastle Managers job is looking more & more like a poisoned chalice, & it now seems that Unai Emery, considered a shoo-in a few days ago, has got cold feet. Meanwhile, Newcastle look like they are headed to the Champo. Fascinating little drama playing out up there.

£4,000 UKOPS 26 £4,000

£15,000 UKOPS 27 £18,600

    UKOPS 26 £4,000 Bounty Hunter (£4,000)

    The opener went to HUGHMANS. Despite the fact he described my daily music choices as "dirge", I am a big fan of him, he's almost like a favourite son to me. Well done chap, that was a terrific win for you.

    OldTimer & mcg899 took the lower podium steps, with the puntastic tornadofoz 4th.

    @HUGHMANS 513000 1 £624.02 + £241.09 Head Prizes 11

    UKOPS 27 £15,000 High Roller B/Hunter (£18,600)

    This was the High Roller, & in winning it, SwannLol put up a remarkable stat - he's now won at least one UKOPS in each of the last 3 UKOPS Series. At Xmas he won UKOPS 01(£2,300), at Easter he won UKOPS 32 (£2,000) & UKOPS 31 (£1,000), & now best of all, UKOPS 27 for some £4,000. So that's 4 x 4 figure wins in the last 3 UKOPS series. Extraordinary, & great credit to him.

    Tough final, as you'd expect, with Team Big Boy represented by PRhack, roddy & newdaddy.

    It was a pretty spectacular result for Dazzy too, though not quite his biggest score - he won a Summit back in May for around £1,700.

    Was interesting to see rpokerj run 2nd. Been here a very long time (his first Forum post was way back in 2009) but appears to have reset his Sharky this week. I suspect we may actually see him at SPT Manchester, or at least I hope so.

    @SwannLoL 930000 1 £2697 + £1372.67 Head Prizes 6

    @rpokerj 0 2 £1767 + £1215.33 Head Prizes 10

    UKOPS 28 £15,000 Bounty Hunter (£16,100)

    Not too many will be surprised to see Tedson take the Main. He's another with multiple UKOPS wins as he took the Xmas UKOPS High Roller for north of £7,000. Sharky have him at 97, & I'm not sure I can recall anyone here with a better rating than that.

    As it happens, in that Xmas High Roller win for Tedson 4th place went to Man-Of-The-Moment hughjarse9. And look who was 3rd last night - the man himself. He has now played exactly 4 events in this UKOPS, all Mains, finishing 1st, 1st, 3rd & 3rd. Team Tin-Hat's heads are exploding. It's quite interesting that he only single tables, & did not even play last night's HR. I guess if it works, don't knock it. It's a quite remarkable sequence.

    No surprise to see tonyp (2nd) in the mix either, & this was his best score since he took the Sunday Major in September for £3,800.

    In 4th was jordz16, who, as many of you may have seen on Twitter, had a half-decent day punting the football on Sunday. Incred stuff, well done jordz.

    In a way, the most outstanding performance was greg1974 in 6th, & it was his 2nd FT of the series, as he was 5th in UKOPS 18 on Sunday.

    @Tedson 1610000 1 £2249.97 + £956.01 Head Prizes 9

    @tonyp142 0 2 £1372.53 + £435.30 Head Prizes 6

    @hughjarse9 0 3 £845.25 + £425.83 Head Prizes 7

    @jordz16 0 4 £680.23 + £416.74 Head Prizes 6

    @LIAM92446 0 5 £579.60 + £265.42 Head Prizes 5

    UKOPS 29 £5,000 Mini Bounty Hunter (£5,270)

    The Mini went to CptSFK, who won a Marksman Main in September, with the excellent series chrisdonkb is having getting even better with a 2nd place finish.

    Most notably, jordz16 was 6th, & as he was 4th in the Main, that earns him £100 from the FTJ. (And if @jordz16 is reading this, it's been credited).

    @CptSFK 1581000 1 £665.34 + £200.66 Head Prizes 15

    @chrisdonkb 0 2 £387.35 + £43.42 Head Prizes 6

    @jamo1212 0 3 £234.51 + £107.68 Head Prizes 11

    @junior10 0 4 £187.61 + £30.68 Head Prizes 4

    @Huntsman13 0 5 £158.10 + £76.90 Head Prizes 8

    @jordz16 0 6 £128.85 + £18 Head Prizes 4

    UKOPS 30 £3,000 Bounty Hunter (£3,000)

    seikus joins the ranks of double UKOPS winners in this series, winning Sunday's UKOPS 18 & then adding last night's UKOPS 30. No real surprise there, though it will be a surprise if he does not go in again.

    The rise & rise of IVIystical continues, & I suspect this was Sam's maiden UKOPS FT. If this chap got serious about poker he might just get very good.

    @seikus 441000 1 £427.63 + £221.69 Head Prizes 11

    @Jackmargs 0 2 £260.87 + £160.75 Head Prizes 13

    @OXBOWLER 0 3 £160.65 + £106.98 Head Prizes 8

    @Killswitch 0 4 £129.28 + £45.82 Head Prizes 3

    UKOPS 31 £4,000 Bounty Hunter (£4,400)

    GuyL2 joined the ranks of double winners too, having won UKOPS 23 on Monday, so that's two in 24 hours. However, that stat never survived very long, as we shall see.

    @GuyL2 440000 1 £660 + £576.34 Head Prizes 13

    @peiratis88 0 2 £440 + £107.82 Head Prizes 4

    @nufc2707 0 3 £264 + £75 Head Prizes 4

    @Cocoghost 0 4 £220 + £190.43 Head Prizes 8

    @mcg899 0 5 £176 + £148.82 Head Prizes 5

    @bigfatfish 0 6 £143 + £100.78 Head Prizes 4

    UKOPS 32 £3,000 Hyper Rebuy B/Hunter (£4,000)

    And here he is again, so GuyL2 not only won three UKOPS in 24 hours, including two last night. Goodness me, there were stunning performances last night.

    Plenty of familiar faces in this one too, with The Hedster, Natnug, craigcu12 & tonyp all making the FT.

    In a UKOPS where hughjarse has been amazeballs, SwannLol won his third UKOPS biggie in 3 series, & GuyL2 won back to backs & three in 24 hours, none were as surprising or unexpected as @NOSTRI running 5th here, as it was his SECOND UKOPS cash of the series. And don't forget he won £550 worth of UKOPS seats in the Elim Freeroll thingie. Barely believable, as we know he's abso hopeless at BH's. Now that is something for the conspiracy theorists to get their teeth into. It's truly amazing what run-good & luck can do. Having said that, it's lovely to see someone with such limited ability do (relatively) well.

    @GuyL2 506000 1 £570 + £359.60 Head Prizes 7

    @heddoh18 0 2 £366 + £260.29 Head Prizes 12

    @Natnug 0 3 £228 + £80.64 Head Prizes 4

    @craigcu12 0 4 £185 + £183.28 Head Prizes 9

    @NOSTRI 0 5 £151 + £85.32 Head Prizes 7

    @tonyp142 0 6 £126 + £46.88 Head Prizes 3

    SPT Manchester Semi (10 runners)

    red_alert won his first seat, Smevy his 2nd, & roddy completed a four-timer so that's him at the max now.

    Shout-out to TommyD who bubbled. Again. Seems to be his specialist act.

    Cheers TK, OMG, dont think I want this sort of music (??) dedicated to me when I win. Its just mind numbingly boring. Next time please some of the Mets or Johnny, Joey, Tommy and Dee Dee. Just for us good time old timer headbangers.
    Had a bit of a banter with Nostri last night. It appears we are all distantly related!!
    PS Glad Sky withdrawals now appear instantaneously. Thanks to the cashier folk. It used to take 3 or 4 days to appear. (Not that I do many that is).
