Who won what, Wednesday 17th November - arise Sir Rose

Morning.

Yet another brief report today, following on the heels of "Lite" Reports during SPT. What's going off? Well today & tomorrow I'm moving house, so I'm all a bit pulled out & stressed. Should be back to normal in a day or two.

MTT traffic last night was oddly mixed, with the Main doing nicely, but Reload, of all things, missing. Its usually Reliable Reload, so I don't know what happened there.

In Sport, a very odd & unusual twist on the story of Manchester City's Benjamin Mendy, currently in prison awaiting trial on multiple rape charges. Sadly, media outlets have confused him with Chelsea 'keeper Edouard Mendy. That is bad on SO many levels.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59329882

A great story, but a terrible one. If I were Eduoard, I'd sue them big time.

£700 7 @ 7 £973

£5,000 Predator Main £5,850

£1,500 Mini £1,565

£1,000 Mega £1,180

£1,500 Sheriff £1,500

£1,500 Reload £1,500

£1,000 Turbo £1,260

£1,000 Quickdraw £1,200

£1,000 MidEx £1,000

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£973)

    5haun1968 - not to be confused with Shaun1968 - pops on the site about once a fortnight, plays the 7 & 7 then disappears again. Seems to work out well as he got the lot last night.

    In 3rd was bakersdoze who is in fine form right now. On Monday he had a lovely double - Marksman Main as well as a £1,000 Rebuy BH, worth a combined £1,400+, so loads of dough.

    DoyleBrun is going along very nicely too, 4th here for a few quid, 6th in the Rewards Freeroll for £30 & 2nd in the Mini for £130. Doubt he's had many better nights than that. Was 4trh in a Mini last week two.

    @5haun1968 278000 1 £133.79 + £65.56 Head Prizes 8

    @phillips58 0 2 £80.76 + £26.25 Head Prizes 7

    @bakersdoze 0 3 £49.62 + £32.26 Head Prizes 6

    @DoyleBrun 0 4 £39.41 + £13.03 Head Prizes 3

    @Bees1889 0 5 £33.57 + £13.80 Head Prizes 3

    £5,000 Predator Bounty Hunter (£5,850)

    Sky Poker won't get rich any time soon from ROLAND, he's only played 8 MTT's since Easter, but he's not complaining as he took down the Main for almost £1,200. Pretty sure that's a PB too. Play more please ROLAND, right?

    Neilio, BigDane, Natnug & The Hedster all featured too.

    @ROLAND 975000 1 £797.06 + £363.14 Head Prizes 10

    @Neilio123 0 2 £478.24 + £181.21 Head Prizes 8

    £1,500 Mini Predator (£1,565)

    BOOM, Irish Rose took the Mini, God bless her, & I doubt there's many players on the site who is more loved. She had no luck in the SPT, though she won a few bob at the cash tables on both Friday & Saturday. Sadly, last night in the Mini she suffered some horrible chat abuse on the way, but that's being taken care of. I'm not sure why there seems to be a sudden increase in profanities on the tables. When every written utterance includes swearing & abuse, there's something wrong with them & it's often due to being henpecked at home. Well that's my left-field theory anyway. Luckily it did not bother Rose, she's made of sterner stuff & is a grown-up.

    As mentioned earlier, DoyleBrun is on a roll & was 2nd.

    ronny707 made the Mini Final for the 2nd time in three nights, 5th on Monday, 3rd last night.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,180)

    Sadly I never saw much of StayOrGo at the SPT, perhaps my eyes are going, but he took Mega last night for a decent recovery mission.

    In 3rd, & seemingly running back into form was Mr Bates.

    Tough old final this, with the increasingly impressive Jscorgie emerging top of the pile from Crushy in 2nd, who won this the night before, as well as finishing 3rd in Summit, and won Friday's Avenger Mini too. WAL.

    And look who was 6th - Rose.

    £1,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,260)

    Teal took Turbo. I'd like to think this player is named after arguably one of the prettiest ducks that inhabit our shores, & with the collective name of "spring", as they rise so steeply from land or water. Fascinating, eh?

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,260)

    Sharky give Vaskan a very modest rating, but he was winning Quickdraw for the 2nd time in 8 nights, so he's maybe better than they infer.

    Natnug, Hedster, Crushy & KLL-y were all making at least their 2nd FT of the session.

    elvisg1972 is quietly getting the lot, has now won this year alone three Minis, 4 Reloads & two MidEx's.

    In 3rd was wynne1938, who was up way too late for a man of his considerable years.

    skyflyer was 5th & there as a 2nd FT of the evening for StayOrGo.

    Good luck with the house move @Tikay10, it can be a very stressful time. Remember to let others do the heavy lifting and stick to the job of supervising, giving directions and making tea/coffee.

    Very sad that someone should choose to abuse @IrishRose in the chat, totally uncalled for and I say that as someone who's quite prone to a good old moan in chat, but it's always about my lack of luck/bad play rather aimed at others. I hope the victory and £300 helped Rose get over it though.

    I hope my little dig at the end where I called Rose exact words " a lucky so and so " was not part of the abuse it was an honour to play you heads up Rose even though you got it in 40/60%. If I hadn't had a tremendous streak of luck to get there where I got it in bad loads of times I would not of been heads up, your a far superior player than me Rose so the result was not something I didn't expect.

    Absolutely NOT. It was far, far worse than that, not to mention (arguably) racist. And the abusive player has been identified, as Sky Poker have a "chat log" which records all table chat by players.

    Your comment was clearly in jest, & Rose knew it.

    Well done all winners, particularly glad to see @IrishRose winning one. I'm sure she has way too much class to worry about whatever some racist may have said.

    Good luck with the house move. In late September I went from not moving at all at 10:30 and sending removal men away, to Exchanging Contracts at 12:00, Completing at 14:00, and physically moving at 15:30. Exhausting.

    PS-quick brag. Ran deep in a few last night, and got a bit unlucky. Saved that luck for the UK 6-Max Championship on Grosvenor. Final table will be at the Vic on 1st Dec. Will be 3/6, but are 2 huge stacks...

    Blimey, it's taken me three months & over 30 trips up & down the M1 to sort my move. But it's just about sorted now.

    Great news on that Grosvenor Poker 6-Max Phil - keep us informed please.

    Re the Mendy "mix up".

    The same thing happened a few years ago when The Lostprophets singer was jailed for some very unsavoury crimes.
    There were a few photos of H from Steps circulated by the media.
    They are both Welsh and share the name Ian Watkins.

    They really should check their facts, especially with such serious crimes.Please

    Disgraceful, isn't it?

    And there are always a few who will believe it, even though it's clearly untrue. (See the Conspiracy Threads & the daily pummelling Bill Gates receives).

    Hi Mr @DoyleBrun - you were definately never out of order the other night!! I've been playing live this week instead of online so completely missed this thread. I was hugely lucky in our game and I'm a proud "lucky so and so" :). I always admit my game is 95% luck and 5% ability. I think I proved that on my exit hand against you lol.

    Best of luck to all playing tonight x
