Who won what, Saturday 11th December - JACKDAW has something to crow about

edited December 2024 in Poker Chat
Morning.

The usual brief Sunday run-through today. Nothing spectacular, just solid across the board.

A decent set of Saturday numbers.

Today's big sporting attraction is the F1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi where the World Championship will be decided Hamilton & Verstappen. As over-hyped affairs go this is right up there, & the world's worst commentator Crofty will be even more shouty than usual, not that it takes much to move him into super-shouty mode. Fortunately, the race will be shown Live on Channel 4, so we can be spared Crofty. I really do think Sky Sports need to review the performance of their lead commentators from time to time, but the continued presence of Crofty & Martin Tyler prove they don't. I should stress that they are both lovely men, but they are way past their sell-by-date as Commentators.

So, it's lights out & away we go

Anddddd it's live

We don't really need commentators if we know exactly what they are going to say, do we?

    £6,000 Sharpshooter (£6,780)

    Oh my, a quite sensational Sharpshooter Main win by JACKDAW. I assume he must have won entry via a Satellite, as I'm not sure I've often seen him in £33 Main Events. Definitely a huge win for him, well done Daz.

    Was a very big result for Swog too, his best since he won a £6k BH back in August.

    The top two will have done well to hold off 3rd placed Jscorgie too, he's winning for fun these days.

    @JACKDAW 2260000 1 £915.30 + £282.76 Head Prizes 9

    mrblk30 won the Sharpshooter Mini. Has made the FT of 5 Minis this year - UKOPS 61, Gold Rush, Mini Major & Sharpshooter (twice), but this was their first time they had finished top of the pile.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,340)

    I'm quite fond of Nesquik, though whether I'd use the name as an alias is another matter. Anyway, NesQuikkk took Mega, his first win & only 2nd ever mention, the last time being 5th in a Gold Rush Main two & a half years ago.

    Swog will have been frustrated to come up one spot shy of a win in the Main, but at least he gathered some consolation in Reload.

    Fortunately, the race will be shown Live on Channel 4, so we can be spared Crofty. Sorry @Tikay10 , the deal for C4 being given the live rights by Sky was that they took Sky's race commentary etc. They just get their own 30 build up and 30 minute wrap, the rest is Sky personnel.
