What a terrible ending to a racing season. The best man definitely did not win. Pathetic in the extreme. What a farce.

No doubt appeals will be lodged.

There are more Mercedes appeals going in than Number 10 party denials... :D

I don't blame them. If that incident had happened early in season they would have finished the race behind the safety car, to bend the rules in this instance is all a bit farcical, the championship is a year long battle afterall. Having said all that, I think Hamilton is a self righteous pr1ck so I'm finding it difficult to feel any sympathy.

It wasn't a great ending - it's been a fantastic battle between Hamilton and Verstappen all season, but instead of this the after talk is about the controversial way in which the race was restarted after the safety car. Nobody wanted to see it decided like that.

Goodness knows what anyone watching F1 for the first time would've thought about it all.

Interesting few hours ahead to see if the result will stand.

I agree but over the course of this season there has been plenty of contentious decisions by the stewards, even the ruling on the 1st lap incident of this race is open to criticism.

Before the race the main concerns for the F1 stewards were that MV/LH abide by the rules,it's now somewhat ironic that the championship is gonna get decided due to their own inconsistencies over the course of season.

Sporting decisions should be made on the 'field' not in appeal courts.

F1A just deleted a tweet declaring Max as Champ.
