Players must have played at least 30 games in the year to be considered for the single event POTY and 50 games for the multi event versions
From my own point of view this has kept my interest in poker from dropping off completely and I've tried to get in 3 games each week, although I did have a couple of months off (at least) in the summer.
This week was a prime example, I missed Tuesday completely and was meant to be going out at 7.30 pm on Wednesday so, for the first time ever, I played the 5.30 Wednesday one, thinking that I might get a few points before having to leave. Anyway it got to 7.30 and I was still in, shorty but in the points, that dragged on to the final table with my other half sitting in the car waiting for me!
Suffice to say I tried my best to exit and piled it in with utter tosh time after time, unexpectedly getting folds, halves or scooping each time. I ended up coming second for 28 points! 15 minutes late for the pub quiz but thankfully my other half wasn't too angry, won the pub quiz too, charmed life!
Played the 7.18 and 8.40 yesterday (even early regged the 8.40 to hopefully make sure it ran), and was pretty much card dead in both all the way through, got one bounty I think. Maybe the way forward is to pile it in with rubbish over and over again, I know it's a tactic used by some!
Where do I think I rank? Anywhere above mid table mediocrity would make me happy.

Maybe all should be given the same priority.

Thanks for the feedback. All games. Only weighted slightly top to bottom. Which effectively takes away the advance of low games / higher ROI. Win/loss total reduces this again.
With only somewhere in the region of 2.5k individual player competing over all games that itself narrows the field hence the 30 game min. Less than 50 have qualified for the early game POTY for example. A 40 game qualifier reduces this to somewhere in the 30’s.
