Who won what, Monday 20th December - Danyo0 sets a new record?

Morning.

Solid numbers last night, though you'd expect that in Xmas week I guess.

In sport, while the Premier League buried it's head in the sand & said "the games must go on", Bumbling Boris announced that the plan, basically, is to cross our fingers & do nothing. Bit of an anti-climax after all the anticipation and brouhaha.

Wales were very quick off the mark though & banned all spectators from sports events effective Sunday. And yes, you read that correctly - WALES showed how it should be done. Without wishing to cause offence, Wales leading the way is about as likely as Universities - I mean proper Universities - in Sussex. Who'd have thought? At which point, I must apologise for suggesting in a recent thread that there are no Uni's in Sussex - there are, as you can see from the photo. They are just a little less grand than the real ones.

Still in football, we may see less of the extraordinary talents of Phil Foden & Jack Grealish, as they are both on Pep's naughty step. I mean, really, they are not very bright lads if they think they can mess with Pep & get away with it.

We seem to have too many big fish here - bigfish373 booked the win, with his more rotund namesake bigfatfish in 4th. It was a thread debut for the winner, but far from it from his portly mate.

    £5,000 Marksman Bounty Hunter (£6,630)

Marksman Main winner was one of the first players to sign up to Sky Poker, back in 2007. Has won Quickdraw a few times, as well as an Easter UKOPS, but this looks like his best result. Got in via a £1.80 All-In Sat which ran 5 minutes after the Main started, so it all panned out rather well in the end.

Runner-up Climwinner has a splendid CV, which includes at least 3 Main & 3 Minis as well as a UKOPs, all in the last year or two. I'm not at all sure about that alias though.

'Who'd have thought? At which point, I must apologise for suggesting in a recent thread that there are no Uni's in Sussex'

    Didn't offend me, I didn't go there!

Sadly Sussex University is currently infamous for the LBGTQ+ brigade hounding a faculty professor into resigning from her job after she had the temerity to voice an opinion on biological sex that is different to theirs. So much for free speech.

I think we all support diversity & inclusion, but it does seem that many of the LBGTQ community do over-react to the perfectly understandable debate on such a complex subject. It's wrong to hound people out of their loving & cancel them just because they are not afraid to state their views.

In my little world, there's only one Sussex. This East & West stuff is nonsense.

Sadly, we do not all support diversity and inclusion. That is just as true within the LGBT community as outside it.

Stonewall and Pride believe that the diversity and inclusion should be LGBT (or LGBTQ plus, or whatever). However, there are also people within that Community who either believe the "T" should not be included, or are actively transphobic.

Some people, mainly but not exclusively radical feminists, believe that Transgenderism is totally distinct from LGB (or sometimes just LG), and has no place in the LGB Community. Some of those perceive Transgenderism as evil and/or a threat.

We live in a free country. Kathleen Stock clearly believes that birth gender is more important than gender identity. Might be right, might be wrong-I'm an aging straight white male. Not sure I'm best placed there.

Here is where it gets a little trickier. A new organisation was formed-the LGB Alliance. You might fondly imagine that its aims are to protect the rights of the LGB Community, particularly those who feel more comfortable amongst what they perceive as "their own kind". Sadly, that is not the case. Most of its stated aims are transphobic. There have been orchestrated attacks on Trans people, including at Pride marches. Try looking at the stated aims of the Alliance. They are seeking to eliminate Transgenderism.

Members of the Transgender Community are not necessarily well understood (including by me) but are generally tolerated. Because this is a tolerant society. Sadly, they are far more likely to be targeted by members of the LGB Alliance. Whose Trustee is...Kathleen Stock.

    To quote Matt Lucas:-

"The LGB Alliance is an anti-trans group. That is all it is. It does not represent me or any gay people I care to know."
