Spiffing numbers last night, in particular the £5,000 Main (£7,710) & £1,000 MidEx (£1,980). It's been an excellent week all-round actually. Christmas should happen more often imo.

No sporting news of much note yesterday, so chance for another great sporting photograph. Here's the one & only Mr Bolt doing what he did best, with style & grace. Just look at that photo, the also-rans - who were amongst the world's best - flat to the boards & making no impression, & Usain just gliding along in second gear. Never used drugs either.

When you have a sporting hero, admire them whilst you can, as they are soon gone. I've had many sporting heroes in my life time - Jimmy Greaves, Alex Higgins, Lester Piggott, Stirling Moss - & even though I watched them whenever I could, I still feel I should have made more effort to watch them more often.

For reasons I won't trouble you with, I've watched the Hitman winner janechrist a few times recently. If I had to sum them up in one word, I'd struggle, but for now, I'll settle for acerbic.

fishhhh was 4th.

Having started the day by running 6th in MidEx, pistke was 6th here too. I can't read that alias out without seeing it an an abbreviation, which is probably unfair. Maybe his real name is **** Tke.

In 7th was Swog. It's a shame he so rarely uses the Forum, his debating of hand histories in that one Tourney alone would probably double the daily Post Count of the Forum, as brevity is certainly not his strong point. He'd be like a less cerebral version of HAYSIE.

clov4r seems to be a NKOTB, only here since October, but has already taken down a Main, a Mini, & now a Sheriff, as well as a 5th place in the Major. Might be a name to keep an eye on in 2022.

loosecamel, flush from the success of winning £100 an an iPad in the Daily Draws, as well as 3rd in Wednesday's Main, was runner-up, with tonyp142 in 3rd.

In 5th, but headless, was Mr Channing, who played with one eye on the sad departure of Jon Snow, who retired from Channel 4 News last night after presenting it for 93 years. Mr Channing is a huge news freak.

I record C4 news every day. In the past I've come back from four, five or six weeks away and watched all the episodes I've missed, three or four a day to catch up. They did the old boy proud last night. I think I got a bit of dust in my eye near the end.
