Who won what, Friday 7th January - you'll never guess who won BWBH...

Morning.

Only the briefest of updates today, as I've got company all weekend & so it's not really right to sit all day typing away on my lappie. Same on Sunday & Monday, after which the Results Thread will be restored to Full Waffle Mode.

Really lovely numbers last night right across the board. BWBH & Avenger both came in with bumper prize pools, but I had to do a double take when I saw what the £1,000 Quickdraw had made - £2,680. The Turbo & Midex - both £1,000ers - also both topped £2,000. Amazing what a bit of bad weather does.

In Sport, the best news of the day was the much-maligned Mike Ashley has declared an interest in purchasing Derby County. If that goes through, congrats to the Rams.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,141

£6,000 BWBH £8,800

£8,000 Avenger Main £10,640

£4,000 Avenger Mini £5,490

£1,000 Mega £1,500

£1,500 Sheriff £2,450

£1,500 Reload £1,773

£1,000 Turbo £2,070

£1,000 Quickdraw £2,680

£1,000 MidEx £2,060

    £8,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£10,640)

    Blaisee, absent for 3 weeks, returns in triumph & takes Avenger Main, with Climwinner in 2nd.

    Swog promised some much improved results this year, putting much pressure on himself, but he's started well, and already has a 1 - 2 - 3 (1st in Turbo, 2nd in Turbo, 3rd in Avenger Main). Two FT's last night too, Avenger Main & Turbo.

    Boring Accountant was 5th.

    HAYSIE had a nightmare day on the Obituary thread, so 6th place here will have improved his mood a little.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,500)

    Amazing stuff here as M0RG4N4T0R who appeared out of the blue a week or so ago keeps popping up in these threads. Won a big UKOPS for £3,800, 5th in another big UKOPS for £800, 1st & 2nd in Sheriff & now a Mega.

    Real tough FT for a Mega too, with StayOrGo, UnEuropean & beefmyster all in the shake up, so Grumpy Reg probably did well to run 5th. To be fair, he's more of a cash player than an MTT-er, & only plays MTT's when he thinks the cash games are bad. Which is most days.

    @M0RG4N4T0R 750000 1 £217.50 + £154.18 Head Prizes 8

    @StayOrGo 0 2 £142.50 + £57.08 Head Prizes 4

    I'm not at all sure what result most pleased me last night - Mr Channing winning BWBH, or Shrimpy the MidEx. They are both great lads & it brings a smile to my face when they do well. Proper blokes, the pair of them.

    More importantly though...... where did Pilsdon Pen 80/1, 13 year old Jepeck 40/1, and Prime Venture 18/1 (Bled from the nose last time!) come from?

    Time to get the pin out methinks :#

    That heavy ground will always help the bookies. I pretty much never bet horses ever again once they've broken a blood vessel so no chance I could bet that. The other one had a really good jockey on for an in-form stable and is a young horse making his handicap debut...on the form from last year though it was very hard to find. Luckily I didn't invest too much of last night's money today.
