Who won what, Monday 24th January - doubles on the night for both bigfatfish & seikus

Morning.

A brief report today, as I have to take my car to the exhaust pipe hospital.

Traffic was a bit odd last night. Main & Mini came in fine if subdued, but Sheriff came it at an unusually big £2,400, while the late night Turb/Quick/MidEx trio all made £1,400+.

The big news in sport was the AFCON tragedy in Cameroon, where at least 8 fans died in a stampede/crush. Too dreadful to even think about. If it was me with my hand on the AFCON button, I'd cancel the whole thing right now. They won't of course because ££££ is involved.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,127

£6,000 Marksman £6,450

£1,500 Mini £1,610

£1,000 Mega £1,380

£1,500 Sheriff £2,400

£1,500 Reload £1,824

£1,000 Turbo £1,440

£1,000 Quickdraw £1,460

£1,000 MidEx £1,420

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,127)

    The bigfatfish Sharky graph will fall over if it gets any nearer vertical. Won last night's 7 @ 7, the Mega, & a £500 BH, so that's a win treble within a few hours. Mere mortals can only look on in wonder.

    EDIT - seems he also won the 6pm £22 BH too. I can't keep up.

    £6,000 Marksman Bounty Hunter (£6,450)

    Really pleased Hux won this. A vey long time ago Hux used to keep a Diary on here. Not exactly a potboiler, but very interesting all the same, if you like that sort of thing. I had a read of it this morning & it bought back a lot of memories of people we don't see on the Forum or site these days.

    Here, have a read;

    It's not ALL gravy..Hux's diary

    Was also pleased to see tomb1793 finish 4th. He did it the hard way, winning a £1.60 satellite into a £7.20 satellite, winning his £33 seat in that, & ending up with £320 in what was his first night playing for around 2 weeks. So £320 from £1.60, odds of about 200/1. Incred. Very well done Mr Tomb.

    When I was eulogising about the treble earlier by bigfatfish, I had not realised he had run 5th in the Main too. Does not seem fair really.

    Less pleasingly - rather annoyingly in truth - Swog was 6th. Again.

    @Hux 1075000 1 £878.81 + £295.85 Head Prizes 5

    @Jeffter 0 2 £527.29 + £147.14 Head Prizes 7

    @BigBridgo 0 3 £322.50 + £353.23 Head Prizes 19

    @tomb1793 0 4 £253.16 + £67.50 Head Prizes 4

    @Swog 0 6 £181.89 + £42.19 Head Prizes 2

    £1,500 Mini Marksman (£1,610)

    Mini winner OldTimer99 has a cracking Sharky graph. Nothing spectacular, just steady profits all the way over a 3 or 4 year period, with no discernible downswings. Does especially well in that £1,000 Rebuy which goes off at 7.10pm each night, winning it at least 3 times last year. Won the Mini Major exactly one year & one day ago too, plus various wins in Reload & that £1k BH that used to run at 7pm. Seems happy to just keep going along steadily & nicking a few bob. Exactly how it should be. Aim just high enough & succeed = a happy poker player. Aim too high = pain awaits, almost always.

    The long run of FT's by TommyD continues, 3rd here. Pleasing to observe, but would be even more pleasing if he actually won something. Can't see that ever happening though. There, the perfect reverse-bok, off you go Tommy.

    @OldTimer99 644000 1 £209.30 + £73.85 Head Prizes 10

    @LukeyK 0 2 £120.75 + £53.20 Head Prizes 13

    @TommyD 0 3 £73.25 + £8.21 Head Prizes 4

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,380)

    Leg 2 of the BFF treble, not forgetting FT-ing the Main. Ridic.

    On & on & on @HAYSIE was runner-up. One of the most likeable & respected players & Forum posters on the site. Probably.

    By Mega standards, a hot one, with Natnug 5th, seikus 6th & spearsy 7th.

    @bigfatfish 690000 1 £207 + £191.66 Head Prizes 11

    @HAYSIE 0 2 £138 + £40.90 Head Prizes 4

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,400)

    This was an unusually big Sheriff for a Monday, & it went to PokaBayb9. Does not do much volume, but my word he makes it pay, and in a 4 day spell either side of Xmas Day won over £11,000, taking down BWBH, a UKOPS HR & a UKOPS Main. Proper form, that.

    @PokaBayb9 240000 1 £420 + £378.20 Head Prizes 9

    @ReyRey14 0 2 £264 + £50.68 Head Prizes 2

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,824)

    All stakes & buy-ins seem to come alike to seikus, 2nd in a £110 entry Sunday Major a month ago for over £2,000, here he is winning a £3.30 Reload and a little later he won the £22 entry Quickdraw. Has won 4 Quickdraws and a Turbo all in the last 2 months too. Seems to get the same level of results whatever the buy-in. He's so good he'll soon be unpopular. That's how it seems to work in the peculiar world of poker. Makes no sense to me, never has, never will, but there you go.

    @seikus 1621000 1 £244.96 + £103.14 Head Prizes 12

    @Hoykbidder 0 2 £146.19 + £8.23 Head Prizes 3

    @PJS75 0 3 £87.19 + £35.14 Head Prizes 7

    @Pogue909 0 4 £68.58 + £13 Head Prizes 2

    £1,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,440)

    After running 4th for around £2,500 in a November UKOPS HR, Super_Oli twice went missing for weeks at a time, but seems to be back now, & in addition to last night's Turbo, took a Sheriff a few weeks ago.

    @Super_Oli 240000 1 £288 + £188.27 Head Prizes 6

    @Rondo 0 2 £180 + £33.75 Head Prizes 3

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,460)

    Here's Leg 2 of the double by seikus, who I wrote about at length earlier.

    In 4th was Arrogant, who I noticed was challenged on the Forum last night to a big cash game, to which he readily accepted. Years since I've seen one of those "Hu4Rolz" challenges, they are so retro these days. No idea if the game actually took place though. Probs not.

    Recent 7 @ 7 & Turbo winner Drewett was 5th.

    @seikus 182000 1 £255.50 + £155.59 Head Prizes 4

    @utang 0 2 £160.60 + £94.50 Head Prizes 3

    @Vaskan 0 3 £109.50 + £96.81 Head Prizes 4

    @Arrogant 0 4 £80.30 + £64.81 Head Prizes 3

    @Drewett 0 5 £65.70 + £61.88 Head Prizes 5

    @AlexaAJ 0 6 £58.40 + £62.81 Head Prizes 4

    If it was me with my hand on the AFCON button, I'd cancel the whole thing right now. They won't of course because ££££ is involved.

    The teams are no better:

    Senegal football chiefs find themselves under serious criticism after Sadio Mane was allowed to carry on against Cape Verde having been knocked out cold.

    Concern grew for the Liverpool attacker following a nasty collision with Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha during the last-16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.

    Following treatment for the mid-air collision in the 53rd minute when chasing a long ball upfield, Mane was allowed to continue......

    .....Mane appeared in a great deal of pain following the clash but after being allowed to come back on he made a decisive contribution in the last-16 match-up.

    He went on to break the deadlock in the 63rd minute, clipping the ball in off the underside of the crossbar after it fell to him at the back post from a corner.

    There was a lengthy VAR review of a possible foul before the goal was confirmed, after which Mane dropped onto the pitch holding his head before eventually being helped off and substituted.

    That was extraordinary, Mane was out cold.

    It is disgraceful. Head injuries are to be taken seriously and if he was knocked out, he should have been taken off immediately.

    @TVSpice

    Both the Referee & the Senegal staff are both to blame imo.
