Who won what, Tuesday 25th January - Natnug takes Summit, a Crushy double, & MattBates booked a win

Morning.

There's almost never a perfect night for numbers. Most of last night's headline MTT's did just fine, & Gold Rush at £6,900 was very acceptable - but then along came the £6,000 Summit which missed, albeit only by one entry. Meh.

In sport, after the AFCON tragedy on Sunday, that stadium has been removed from the roster for the rest of the tournament. Quite right too.

Unfortunately, there was a horrible clash of heads in the Senegal - Cape Verde game yesterday, which resulted in two players being, so it seemed, seriously concussed. As it happens, one was sent off & then immediately hospitalised. The other - Sadio Mane - was allowed to continue playing despite the fact he had been briefly unconscious. It seemed like they would have allowed him to play the full 90 minutes had he not subsequently collapsed on the pitch, & he also was taken to hospital. In better news, an update from the hospital later suggested both seemed to be OK, though of course with head injuries, it could be decades before the repercussions are felt.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£889)

After some 12,500 MTT's goldenb238 makes their thread debut with a 7 @ 7 win. Played just two MTT's, bricking the first at 18.30 (203/226) but then going the whole way in the one that mattered. Most satisfactory.

    £6,000 Gold Rush (£6,900)

Gold Rush winner ecksmen was playing just his 2nd MTT of 2022 (well, here on Sky Poker), & not only that, he single-tabled it. Great patience to single table, & a terrific result. Don't have much data on him, except that he won a Turbo last Autumn, but Sharky have him at 88 over a 2,500 game sample, so they think he's pretty decent.

PRhack was runner-up, with bakersdoze 3rd.

In 4th was collabo, who gets a lot of stick for being rather talkative in the chat boxes, which is certainly true, but hey, he's not doing anyone any harm, & I can think of worse habits. It's annoying, sure, but hardly the end of the world. First world problems, eh?

splashies played a busy schedule, & was 6th here, 3rd in a £500 BH & 7th in Reload, so would have made a nice bit of profit on the sesh.

    £2,000 Mini Gold Rush (£2,065)

Crushy did what Crushy does, & this was Leg 1 of a double on the night - Mini & Quickdraw. Sadly - for me - he's no longer visible on Sharky, so it's tough to keep track of how well he's doing. I'd like to be a shilling behind him, that's for sure.

devil_tear was 2nd with Edinburgh's glencoelad celebrating Burns Night in 6th.

Mr Bates took the Mega, & if anyone reads the "This day last year" feature they'd know that he featured in it yesterday - also for winning Mega.

    £6,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£6,000)

The Natnug Express shows no sign of stopping or even slowing down. His 2022 Roll of Honour now includes Summit, Gold Rush Main, MidEx, Quickdraw, Mini Major & Sheriff. And it's not the end of January yet. He'll have won all the money by the year-end at this rate.

Top quality FT, as expected in Summit, with no obvious mark. The run of TommyD FT's continues too, though still no sign of that win.

sam1980 took Reload - at least the 5th time he has won it. Took down a Mini UKOPS in 2020 too.

    £1,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,320)

Turbo fell to serial-winner & Team Big Boy member KLL-y.

Runner-up Drewett seems to be making waves of late, and was 1 spot shy of winning Turbo for the 2nd time in a fortnight, won a 7 @ 7 last week, & ran 4th in Sunday's £6k BH.

UnEuropean, who has had a couple of thin nights, was 5th.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,380)

Palace Bloke seems to have been quiet - by his standards - but this was his 4th Headline MTT win this year, having previously booked wins this month in Sheriff (twice) & Turbo.

    This day last year...

The Main went to @StayOrGo and there was a double on the night for @heddoh18, £1k BH & Mega. Sadly, we've not seen heddoh since the beginning of this month.

@Pommy2021, who we saw on the Forum a few days ago, won Summit & collected north of £2,000, & then seemed to disappear until returning quite recently.
