Morning.

The usual Saturday semi-brief round-up today.

Very decent MTT traffic right across the board last night, & the Forum has maintained it's uptick in Views & Posts.

In sport, the FA Cup produced an upset when Middlesbrough came to Old Trafford & beat them 8-7 on penalties AET. I'm not a football expert, but can anyone tell me if this Ralf Rangnick fella has actually improved a single thing since he took over? And talking of football Managers, how good is Chris Wilder? I honestly believe that if you put guys like Chris Wilder or Sean Dyche in charge at Old Trafford, they'd do a better job than all these fancy-Dans who have been coming & going since Sir Alex retired.

And in the never-ending saga of Greg Norman & his team trying to buy up the Pro-golf world, it was handbags time yesterday as Brooks Koepka came out with an absolute beaut of a one-liner;

"Don't know if I'd be using the word greedy if I were Phil."

BOOM. 1-0 Brooks.

This thing is going to run & run, & pro-golf as we know it will tear itself apart. These guys earn ridiculous sums of money, but now they want more. It's all very sad really. I do understand the older guys trying to nick a bit more money before they retire, though there's good money to be made on the Seniors Tour, last year's US Open Seniors winner got $720,000. The younger lads though are just being greedy. And of all the guys who have become involved, Dustin Johnson has surprised me the most.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,099)

    superyank took the 7 @ 7. A serial C & D specialist in this with countless FT's, though it's been 9 months since he last won it.

    In 4th was coo1-um, and he has just started a 7 @ 7 challenge, so that will put him in early profit.

    £6,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£7,500)

    I'll be surprised if we don't see wineli at either of the first two SPT's this year, & if we do, the drinks are on him after he took down BWBH for over £1,600.

    As you'd expect in a BWBH, a super tough FT where it must have been tough to find "spots".

    Good effort in 4th by PKRPar, just a few weeks after he won a Sharpshooter Main for over £1,500.

    In 5th, was Jscorgie, still not quite hitting the giddy heights he attained pre-Christmas, but perhaps this is a sign he's returning to form.

    £8,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£9,720)

    A very solid week for NIHIGHGUN, made the Final of the Sunday Major, 9th in Thursday's Hitman Main & now takes the coveted Avenger Main trophy. Has only played a handful of games this week too.

    In 4th Jaystac did his growing reputation no harm at all, and he has already taken down 2 Megas & a MidEx this year. Seems to be much improved.

    7th was FeelGroggy, battling to win Week 1 of the Sky Poker Premier League. And here's a stat to demonstrate how hard he is trying. At the time I write this (10am), he has already played 96 games TODAY. Yesterday? Around 300 from what I can see. Mostly DYM's of course, but a sprinkling of MTT's too. Extraordinary.

    £4,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£4,890)

    Just a day after running 2nd in Hitman Main for £670, waller takes down Avenger Mini for £780. It was only weeks ago that he was fretting that he was in a downswing. A few more results like this & he might actually start believing in himself & realise how good he can be when he keeps his head clear of doubts. Incidentally, on this very day last year, he was 2nd in Avenger Main. He can't get enough Avengers.

    2nd was Crushy, & a lovely result for gixxer in 7th, his best result in money terms this year.

    Bonus Results

    A couple of Bonus Results today. From different ends of the spectrum, but both equally pleasing, & both meant the world to the winners. Sometimes poker is lovely.

    "Masters Classic" on GG Poker

    Since shedding the shackles of his Micro Stakes Challenge it's been all gravy for @craigcu12, with 3 big FT's this week, climaxed by a terrific win last night for $4,752. The only Brit on the FT, he beat players from all over the world. It's been a long time since I've seen Craig so happy. Long may it last. And we'll definitely see him at SPT Brighton next month. Let's hope he does not lose his wallet this time.

    Great write up as always. I got very lucky in the final hand against @loololollo but will certainly take it.

    Agree with @fredsgirl being the result of night, both her and Keith have had a rough time of it so it was great to see Paula back playing again and topping it off with the win too.

    @craigcu12 ...what a legend, sorry I could watch the stream as I was streaming myself. Loved the raid though mate ty, and was absolutely made up for you when I found out you'd won. Huge score in a massive week for you. Great to see you enjoying the game again.

    Orfordable

    This is a belter. fredsgirl has been AWOL for around 18 months for personal reasons, & it's been a really tough time for her as her friends know. Anyway, she decided it was time to dabble at poker again, turned up last night, & took down Orfordable. It's "only" £44, but that's not the point at all. This win will have meant the world to her. I hope some of you will join me in congratulating Paula.

    Runner-up was 7 @ 7 winner supercrazy, & just to make Paula's night even better, her other half @goldnballz was 4th.

    Best result of the night for me.

    @fredsgirl 230000 1 £44.16

    @supercrazy 0 2 £24.84

    @THEHERDEIE 0 5 £11.45

    @Oban 0 6 £10.07

    Great news i'm glad she's back

    Some great results last night!

    @waller02 well & truly out of the 'mini' downswing, wp mate :)

    Superb win for @craigcu12 also, delighted for you.

    Was really great to have Paula back at the tables, & very good of Sky poker to fix it for her to win :D
