Morning.
Traffic was OK last night, with the exception of the Major which missed by an insignificant 2 entries. The late night stuff has been doing really well of late, & last night the £1,000 Turbo broke though the £2,000 barrier. Be interesting to see the numbers next Sunday, which is Super Bowl day. Forum traffic went very quiet, with very few Posts in the afternoon or evening.
In sport, Senegal eventually won AFCON, beating Egypt AET & Pens. It was the 4th straight game Egypt had gone to ET & Pens, which is not good news for Salah or Liverpool. Generally, the whole AFCON was a disappointment, poor games, low-scoring & generally not very watchable. In yesterday's 90 minutes there were exactly 2 corners, which says it all. One bright spot was the standard of refereeing, where they were much more strict than we are used to. That's a good thing. The amount of feigning injury & play-acting was still way too much though. Every tackle seems to result in a player rolling around & banging the ground to say "look, I'm injured". Games have to be stopped when there is a head injury, but the players have cottoned on to this & are exploiting it. And trust me, when a player is genuinely injured & in pain, he won't be doing 4 acrobatic rolls or banging the ground with his hand. Ha, footballers, I love them & loathe them at the same time.
Here at home, it was FA Cup time, so we saw those tired old clichés repeated time & time again. Giant killers, the magic of the FA Cup & so on. Sports journalists seem very lazy.

Less than 24 hours after she was 3rd in MidEx, aynaricol took down 7 @ 7. She was runner-up in 7 @ 7 on 2nd January, so it was sweet revenge.
Runner-up was Bongmong. If I were ever King for a day, I'd snap ban aliases like that. The world has made great progress, & there's always a pile-on when someone makes racist or homophobic comments, & quite right too. Somehow though the tragic world of mentally &/or physically disabled people have been left behind & it seems it's still acceptable to use some dreadful terms.
5th was edrich, & there was another boost to the coo1-um 7 @ 7 Challenge when he finished 6th.

The Major went to DONT_CARE who was prominent from a long way out. A rare visitor to Sky Poker these days, was just his 8th MTT this year. Tends to turn up only for the bigger stuff, BWBH etc.
Runner-up TONY509 has winning form in all the big stuff here, & has won many Mains & Majors down the years.
Don't think you need reminding of how well Natnug has done this year, but it includes wins in Summit, Gold Rush Main & three Sheriffs & now he adds 3rd in the Major.
5th was Mr Arrogant, with IanSimpson, who basically just turns up for the Major every Sunday, in 6th.
10th was PKRPar, & there were bleeding fingernails for @waller02 & @UnEuropean who just about hung on for min-cashes.
Less fortunate were HAYSIE, Alexa & Groggy, who all came up just shy of the money.

It really was a "welcome back" night & here's another, as 18 month absentee Hangymoss took a typically strong Sheriff.
In doing so he denied the win to Mr Channing, who had endured a typically tough Sunday, punting lots of lovely horse races but probably swerving the Pro Bowl. Next Sunday - Super Bowl Night - will be a very big night for him though, when he'll be betting on all sorts of prop bets, including how long the National Anthem will last. I kid you not.
And look at 3rd to 6th too, what a FT that was.
