Let's look at what this really means.
Immediately prior to setting up the Charitable Foundation, the family hived off a major asset. For themselves.
And used other people to be trustee directors due to their conflict of interest in relation both to having taken assets, and charging large amounts for their services.
They want both the considerable tax benefits of Charitable status, and to run it as a for-profit business for themselves.
They can do either 1 of those things. But not both.
Compare/contrast with the incredibly selfless act of Captain Tom himself.

Do they really think this sort of thing does their objective any good whatsoever? If they brought back stocks in the town square I'm pretty sure she'd be covered in more than just rotten veg.

I would much prefer it if people like this are prosecuted without the Press giving them the oxygen of publicity they crave.
Regardless of any merit their may be in their cause, this sort of stuff sickens me.
