What a selfish individual

So I put a £3 bet down on the all star game for Giannis to score first and to win the MVP for the all star game. However steph Curry has decided to finally come on form. Does he not care about the £102 I could have won if he had simply let Giannis get the MVP for the game.

    Fortunately I won £60 from a £5 bet on the all star game with the bet on Giannis to score 26+ points Curry and Lebron 21+ points and Joe emblid some other amount of points. however would have been £160 if Steph Curry had not been so selfish.

    I'm more surprised that you would bet on what is essentially an exhibition game. There is no great pressure to really perform, it's just an opportunity for the fans to see all the supposed best players on the court at the same time.

    Well I never really care that much about sports unless I can have an excuse or find some reason to support them.

    We usually make a big deal about sports stars like they are some form of god. In fact there are even some sports stars who have some real filth to their names. Stuff that would make them irredeemable in normal society. However because they are sports stars this is just brushed under the carpet.

    I once met one of our Olympian champions in real life and they basically spoke condescendingly to me in a way that was blatant and obvious discrimination. Liable been a thing and me not having proof I wont go into details about that one and who it was here.

    What I will say is it opened my eyes and now I cant really passionately root for someone who may be a complete **** to me in real life. People are people and I am sure some sports stars will be genuinely wonderful people just as some will be scum. However I wont start passionately supporting a sports star until they start following me at poker or something and passionately supporting me. The day Giannis or Lebron start railing my poker sessions rooting for me will be the day I become a Giannis/Lebron fan.

    So to have something to root for and to make it exciting I usually put a small bet down and then for that game act like that bet is the center of the universe. The most I rarely stake more then £10 on any game and its usually even less then that.

    apart from eurovision which isn't a sport going to have a lot of bets on that again this year. can we build accumulators on eurovision that would be fun. might ask about that nearer the time.
