Who won what, Sunday 20th February - jordz16 continues his stunning record in the Major

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,805

Morning.

Numbers were so-so last night. The Major missed by £700, though that was much improved on the previous Sunday.

In sport, it was golf that caught the eye, with the news that both Dustin Johnson & Bryson DeChambeau have made it clear they have no interest in the proposed new golf Super League which has Greg Norman as it's figurehead. After which, Rory McIllroy stated;

"Who's left? Who's left to go? I mean, there's no one. It's dead in the water in my opinion. I just can't see any reason why anyone would go,"

Rahm, Justin Thomas & Collin Morikawa have already rejected the ideas of leaving the PGA Tour. Mickelson? To be honest, I don't mind if he defects.

That's terrific news.

Footnote - The Masters is only just over 6 weeks away.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,085)

    Shrimpy28 logged his 3rd win of 2022, Mini Major, MidEx & now 7 @ 7 all safely in the book. In fact he came quite close to winning Mini Major again last night, finishing 3rd, & made a nice bit of profit on the session. We just need him to bink a few more MTT's so he has no excuse to miss Brighton SPT. Incidentally, I was surprised to note that Shrimpy has been with Sky Poker getting on for 14 years. Does not look old enough.

    4th was hhammerhea, who has a 48% ROI over a 6,000 game sample at an BBI of just under a fiver, if we are to believe Sharky. Very tidy indeed.

    At one stage @FORDAKIDZ looked like he might Final, but he faded to finish 14th, though he did run 4th in Friday's Orfordable.

    £6,000 Bounty Hunter (£7,320)

    Exactly a week after finishing 6th in the £6k BH, serbiaaa ticked all the right boxes & took the win.

    2nd was RAKKKI who has some splendid form in the book, with 6 or more 4 figure cashes, the best of which was £7,300 when winning a Sunday Major at the height of the Lockdown boomlet.

    In 3rd & completing a terrific week was podraic, who made no less than 3 Main Event Finals last week - 3rd in Avenger, 5th in Hitman & 5th in Gold Rush. Some week, that.

    6th was satellite specialist telstar1...

    £15,000 Sunday Major (£15,000)

    jordz16 took the Major, & not for the first time by any means. As a general rule he just turns up most Sundays to play the Major & Mini, & here's his record in 2022 Sunday Majors;

    16th January - 5th

    23rd January - 4th

    6th February - 12th

    13th February - 2nd

    20th February - 1st

    In addition, he ran 5th in the Mini on 16th January, so with 5th in the Major too he collected some FTJ cash.

    Hard to imagine anyone else with such a consistent record in the Major. Likes a good bet, too.

    In 2nd was Roopdog, who has now finished 2nd, 2nd & 3rd in Sunday Majors, though has yet to win it. Has won a Summit though.

    3rd & 4th were chrisdonkb & grinddd, with THETANK in 6th.

    9th was @Doubleme who won his seat in a Freeroll a couple of weeks ago but was unable to play the Major that week, so Sky Poker agreed to defer his entry until last night, & it all worked out rather well.

    @jordz16 1430000 1 £4200

    @Roopdog 0 2 £2430

    @chrisdonkb 0 3 £1395

    £2,000 Mini Major (£2,000)

    kawamattyz took the Mini. Has some very good form on his report card back in the day, including winning two Main Events, & 4th in a UKOPS Main for £3,400.

    lolufold was runner-up, with our man Shrimpy in 3rd after his 7 @ 7 win.

    6th was boggo, who some of you may remember became very popular when he came to Vegas with us a few years ago, & outstayed all our other Qualifiers. At the time he was a pilot on Cathay Pacific long-haul flights, but what with Lockdown & everything I don't know if he still is.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,420)

    BING has played the Mega the last three nights, finishing 14th on Friday, 8th on Saturday & 1st last night. Lovely job.

    In 7th was DONN001 who is more often seen playing PLO8 MTT's, at which they do rather well. Has an ABI of less than £2 so is very rarely seen in £22 events, but this was was part of a a prize for winning the Daily Forum Comp 7 days earlier. So "only" £46 in prize money & bounties, but it's all gravy from a Free Entry. Nice one DONN001.

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,050)

    It looks like demotion for FeelGroggy in the Sky Poker Premiership, only 2nd this week by the looks of it, but £590 for winning Sheriff more than makes up for the shortfall.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,659)

    DW1414 took Reload. Been doing well recently, 1st & 6th in Minis, & 6th in Avenger Main 10 days ago.

    Just missing the FT was Mr @NOSTRI who I'm looking forward to seeing at SPT Brighton where I've arranged for him to share a table with HAYSIE.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,500)

    seikus has been a little quiet of late, with the exception of Quickdraw, which he won last night for the third time in as many weeks.

    5Groggy, made his his third FT of the session - winning Sheriff, 6th in that hot Turbo & 5th here. He's another I look forward to seeing at Brighton next month.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,000)

    MidEx went to rigas, who took down a Marksman Main last August.

    Bubble Boy was @Swog, making his return after a short absence. Played a busy schedule last night without much luck except for winning a £1,000 BH & collecting £250 which kept his pretty head above water.

    This day last year

    The Major went to @Gambelo who we have seen very little of in 2022, though he did win a Quickdraw last month.
