The trouble with Fantasy Bets, rather than Real Bets, is that you don't get to see the actual Returns.

You do not understand how decimal odds work. They are much easier to understand for Singles. And much harder for Each Way betting.

Let me explain. If you back a horse each way at a decimal odds of 10.0, you are stating that the Return will be 10.0 on the Win, and 2.5 on the Place. That is plain wrong.

The fractional odds are far easier to calculate for Each Way bets. High Moon (not High Noon) won at 9/1. On the assumption you managed to get 1/4 the odds for the place (which might have been difficult in this particular race-there were only 5 runners, and 2 were 80/1 and 100/1) then the place part is 9/4.

So your "winnings" are not £(1000 plus 250). And your stake return is not "winnings".

They are £900 for the win. And £225 for the place. Profit of £1125. (plus stake returned)

Similarly, 6/7 would each show a profit of £38.00. Not £83.33.

So-if you had placed real bets, you would still have made a profit. But £401.00, not £717.16.

Not so difficult making a "profit" if you artificially inflate the odds on fantasy bets.

Try using a bet return calculator. Or ask 1 of the 262 people you "employ" to explain it to you.
