Is this cheating or is it the players own fault ?, there is a lot longer video of this but this is the gist of it, some people will do anything to win at cards but should he have said he could see his cards or is it part of the game ?.
A bit of both imo. The (hoodie) guy should be more careful in protecting his cards, but any decent person would just say 'be careful mate I can see your cards as you are looking'. Pretty scummy if he's done this on numerous occasions over a period of time.

Completely agree.
People who fail to protect their cards normally fall into 2 groups. Those who are playing live for the first time, and really bad players.
The first category I will help all day. And I often have a spare card protector-that normally helps. It is vital for the game for new players to be helped every way possible.
Bad players? 1 warning. Normally met with abuse from the showy player. I then feel the need to take his chips before anyone else does.
Yeah I had this in a Casino once I saw someones cards and said hey mate careful I saw your cards. He then accused me of cheating and had a go because I saw them.
I am like if I am trying to be dodgy and see your cards deliberately I wouldn't point it out to you. But all I got was abuse anyway so from that point on with that one particular guy if I saw his cards I did not say anything and just used the intel.
Of course I wouldnt recognise the guy today its been years since I have played poker live and I kind of miss that but they dont do live poker tournaments where I am and I am reluctant to travel for it. It kind of would suck to travel to a tournament and then bust in the first blind level etc.
