Afternoon.
For the second straight night, the Main missed by a very long way - over £1,200 last night. This week is the worst week of the monthly payday cycle, but even so, that's a disappointment, & it's hard to see some Guarantees being held much longer.
We can hardly blame televised football, though had we all known in advance what a thriller Arsenal - Wolves would turn out to be, poker traffic might have been even worse. Two teams going at it hammer & tongs, it was a joy to watch. Rangers completed their two leg defeat of Borussia Dortmund too. Who'd have thought?

The Sharky graph of PRhack continues to head ever further north. After a fine 4th in Tuesday's Summit for close to £700, he won last night's 7 @ 7 for £168, then pocketed another £530 when 3rd in Hitman Main a few hours later. Must be lovely to be so competent at the game.
@Enut hung on grimly to try & make the FT with his short stack, but was unable to find the 2XUp he needed & eventually exited 7th. The domestic staff will have to shop at Lidl this weekend, whilst Tuney pops in to Waitrose.
Asho28 was down to fumes before a terrific spin-up & exited 8th for £29. Does not sound much but it's a decent enough return on £7.70. The main thing was he really had fun & was not disappointed in his result. That's progress, as he is usually way too hard on himself to get the enjoyment he deserves.

KOBAC has previously won a Marksman Main, been runner-up in another Marksman, and last night took Hitman Main for the first time. Best of all, he collected over £5,000 when 2nd in a big UKOPS Main in 2019. Despite all that, Sharky give him a very modest rating, which looks suspiciously low. Which may in fact be a good thing, as many poker players of my acquaintance famously underestimate their opponents and as a result, suffer the consequences.
scotty77 was runner-up for a handsome £782, with 7 @ 7 winner PRhack in third.

TKDROB is a regular cashee in Forum Triple Takedown & he stepped up in class last night to take the Mini. I believe it's his first Mini win, though he does have the odd distinction of having finished runner-up in the Mini on successive nights, one of which was a UKOPS Mini.
A very long day for @aynaricol started by finishing 3rd in MidEx at about 1am for ~£100, & she was back on site mid-morning to run 3rd in a £150 BH. In the evening, she finished 6th in the Mini for £55, 2nd in a £500 BH for around £100, and finally 5th in a £300 BH for ~£25. Little fish are oh-so sweet, and it all adds up. Sure, she played around 25 MTT's in the day, but I'm quite sure a satisfactory profit ensued.

I was doing a pre-bed patrol of the tables to see what was going off - yes, what an exciting life I lead - & chanced upon Pinky & Perky, aka waller & shrimpy, jousting away heads up like a pair of roly-poly Sumo wrestlers. Shrimps is the perennial bridesmaid of course, but with a 4;1 chip lead HU it was going to be fun watching him shred this one. In fact it was rather enjoyable, with all their friends - I counted at least 2 - on the rail & the game played in a great atmo. The lead swung back & forth, & it looked like Shrimpy had it all wrapped up until waller eventually took the spoils. The final hand was quite com, when on a paired, flushing, straighty board Shrimpy committed himself with bottom pair - deuces - and waller made the easy slowroll with the straight. Shrimpy later described his bet as "thin value". Positively anexoric, imo.

After watching the roly-poly roflers heads up in Mega, quite a contrast here as SwannLol, a Summit winner earlier this month & a proper player, took Sheriff.
Plenty of quality on the FT as usually the case with Sheriff, including Crushy, cabbaz, Hitman runner-up scotty77 & tonyp142.

I don't know what was up with me last night but I railed this in the late stages too. 3 handed it was Mr Bates, Bertie Bridesmaid (again) & cbefloyd who was really impressive, very aggro. With 3 left MattBates was the table shortie & moved in & Shrimpy called him in about a tenth of a second. The hands? A-8 (Matt) v A-9 Shrimps. I nearly fainted. back in the day that would have been Q-Q v A-K minimum, & the A-K player would have been called a maniac. Heads up was interesting, cbefloyd was relentlessly aggro, very impressive to watch. Shrimps was a bit handcuffed though, as he had the smaller stack. A re-match off level stacks would be interesting, as they both have plenty of moves. For sure, if I ever end up sat next to Bertie Bridesmaid at an SPT, I'll be calling his shoves super-light now I've seen his ranges.
