Both the above have been cancelled, with the UCL Final now taking place in Paris. The F1 GP, due for September 25, will no longer take place this year. Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso all stated that they would boycott the race should it be allowed to go ahead. Meanwhile, Haas, whose major sponsors are a Russian company, have removed the sponsors name and also removed the blue and red livery (depicting the Russian flag) from it's car so it is now white only

Will Mazepin still drive for Haas? He's a "pay-to-drive" sort, & the money is Russian as I understand it.
Without that money, Haas would struggle.
Quite the dilemma.
Bit like Boris banning Russian money but accepting Russian donations to the Conservative Party.
So he's still paying (for his son), but the logos have gone?

Been an F1 fan for as long as I can remember but had not seen any of the practice sessions as it's not being shown live this year. I am going to guess that the purpoising is because of the lack of downforce the cars now have under the new rules. As for Mazepin, Haas have not made a statement, up to now at least, but I am sure they will at some point. It would be very strange indeed if Mazepin (Snr) continued to finance the team and not get the expected advertising from it
In fact were it not for the skirt creating a downforce, I would think the angle of attack (air striking a surface, usually a wing or fin) would be sufficient to flip the car front over back as lift is created.
Back to the OP and will Russia now find it's club and National teams banned from competition. Certainly it would be distatseful for any European side to play in Russia.
Here's one explanation of the cause of the porpoising;
It results in the cars bouncing up and down on the suspension at the end of the long straights, and it has been something that almost every team has suffered from to a greater or lesser extent.
The biggest factor here is that as the downforce builds, the car is effectively sucked closer to the track.
This leads to flow separation at a certain point and, with downforce then being lost, the car's ride height will momentarily rise. The airflow will then reattach and the cycle begins again as the downforce builds quickly to the tipping point.
The cyclic nature of this can obviously be broken very easily by running the car at a slightly higher ride height.
