Afternoon.
Repeating the pattern of the week, the Main & Mini missed (£1,400 & £140 respectively) whilst everything else did just fine. Guarantees will likely be revised today to reflect current traffic levels, in effect a reversal of the increases made 5 or 6 weeks ago. Not ideal, but not a disaster either.
In sport, I've no idea how many cup finals I've watched lifetime, but I'm struggling to remember any that were as good as yesterday's Chelsea - Liverpool EFL Final. Despite the 0-0 score at 90 minutes it was thrilling end to end stuff from start to finish, & played in a decent spirit too. The penalty shoot-out was a belter, with 21 consecutive penalties buried in the back of the net before Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga, who came on with seconds of Extra Time remaining specifically to save penalties, sent his effort into orbit. Might just have been the worst penalty I've ever seen - see the photo below. He'd been giving the Liverpool penalty takers plenty of grief in an attempt to put them off. And as it happened, Mendy, who Tuchel took off to get Kepa on, was magnificent during the whole match, so there was a sense of poetic justice in it all. On an unrelated side note, if only England's national team could take penalties as efficiently as these Teams did. 21 in a row, & the keepers never got near any of them.
More good news, the 2022 Moto GP season starts this coming weekend, with Qatar the venue. The race takes place under floodlights so is quite a spectacle. All the teams will use the new holeshot technology, and as you see from the photo below this means that when it's engaged on the startline, the bikes sit really low to the tarmac. Pretty sexy, huh?

Mr Unpronounceable Alias, who won Saturday's Mini, was 2nd.

Nice result for single-tabler kyp1961, though he has some solid form in the book having won a Hitman Main last year.
4th was Adam Bromley, who is in good form, he won Friday's Sheriff, & had a deep run into 20th in last night's Major.

Hoff92 is a real class act so his win in last night's Major was no surprise to anyone familiar with his pedigree. Has won all the big stuff on Sky Poker, including the biggest ever Hitman Main during the Boomlet, and in 2019 he won the full £5,000 Sky Poker Final Table Jackpot.
Completing the podium were a brace of players who have been here since Day One, Alvez & scotty77, both of whom are familiar & friendly faces at Live events over the years. Think the last time I saw Alvez in Punta Cana a few years ago, & he's a big Arsenal fan.

£1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,500)
PokaBayb9 has been a little quiet since scooping around £11,000 in 5 days either side of Christmas, so was good to see them back on the winning trail in last night's Sheriff. Ran deep in the Major too, 13th.
In 2nd & 3rd were scotty77 & Mean Machine, both of whom made the Sunday Major Final too.
In 6th was @coo1-um who got in via a £3 satellite & emerged with £94, which will do his strictly managed bankroll no harm at all.
