Who won what, Monday 28th February - Marksman Main won by mystery acronym

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,805

Morning.

Traffic was very Monday-ish, especially in the Sheriff, which had a shocker. Bob Geldof was right.

In sport, more & more, Russia is being isolated by the rest of the world due to that nasty Ukraine business. As a general rule, I don't believe sports & politics should get mixed up with each other. And I very much doubt that a bunch of footballers & fans declaring "we stand behind Ukraine" is really going to have much impact on Mr Putin's thinking. Even so, it's all well-intended, so I guess it's fine.

When COVID started, I soon realised that life would never be the same again in my lifetime. And this Russia - Ukraine thing is in the same department, everything Russian related is going to unravel, & it won't recover in my lifetime. Doors are slamming closed everywhere I look. What a world we live in, whether we are discussing global politics or poker, there's so much hate & dislike. What happened to the default setting of let's be cool to everyone? Hate always ends badly, for all sides of the equation, & yet we see it everywhere, every day.

Apologies for the sermon, but it's all so depressing.

    After finishing 2nd in a £1,000 BH on Friday, splashies took the weekend off. He returned last night & almost before he was comfortably seated he won 7 @ 7, & followed it up with 8th in Reload for another £50 or so. He must win more at the pokers than he draws in his State Pension.

    Anyone know what "FITBHITF" stands for? Has to be an acronym surely? I got stuck after the first 4 letters equalled Falkland Islands Tourist Board. Anyway, has been here 2 years & this was a PB. Got some decent form in the book including winning a Mini last April, & 5th in a Sunday Major 6 months earlier.

    Quite like the alias of 3rd placed 3bet_cbet. No previous mentions, and less than 40 MTT's here, but got busy last night, 3rd in the Main & 2nd in Mega, so expect to see more of them.

    _Smoothe_ won this last week & made a bold bid for the double, finishing 6th.

    Quick shout-out to MML Chief of Staff @NOSTRI , 15th for £50, & then 9th in the Mini for £30, so not a million miles off the FTJ.

    @FITBHITF 925000 1 £756.19 + £294.69 Head Prizes 10

    @zibzib1 0 2 £453.71 + £168.89 Head Prizes 8

    £1,500 Mini Marksman (£1,540)

    LmfaoAllin took the Mini for his best result of 2022, though he had a very solid 2021, winning MidEx 3 times, and taking a Gold Rush Main too.

    Duesenberg aka Guitar Bloke appears to be going through a mid-life crisis, he's not currently streaming & has taken to bashing up the micro stakes, so 3rd here was a solid score. Min-cashed a FTT too.

    With LmfaoAllin, Duesenberg & Coach Collabo on the table, the chat box will have been busy. Gotta love Coach, pictured below.

    @LmfaoAllin 616000 1 £200.20 + £55.20 Head Prizes 9

    @poppyjue 0 2 £115.50 + £32.49 Head Prizes 7

    @Duesenberg 0 3 £70.07 + £30.81 Head Prizes 5

    @Collabo 0 4 £56.21 + £28.58 Head Prizes 10

    @summer666 0 5 £47.74 + £32.96 Head Prizes 9

    Can only speak for myself Tikay.

    Doubt I have read a better/more passionate and touching way to describe the situation the world has faced for the past few years.

    Great read and thanks for sharing that.
