Afternoon.
A so-so night for MTT traffic, with everything covering except Major & Quickdraw, which missed by 4 entries & 1 entry respectively. Not too bad.
We were treated to a wonderful day of sport, with the Qatar Moto GP going to Gresino Bastianini who recorded his first win for his independent team against the might of the well-funded factory teams.
In football, we again saw how far Man United have fallen. Losing 4-1 to City is no disgrace in itself, but the manner of defeat was embarrassing. Sad to see.

ZIPPY146 zapped to the win in 7 @ 7, seems to have hit a bit of form, 2nd in Wednesday's Mini and then took 7 @ 7 last night. Smashing guy, good bants at the tables too.
glassman60 was a pane all night but was eventually broken & had to settle for 2nd.
The new-style @craigcu12 was 6th, & also had a small cash in the Mini.

No shock to see cabbaz take this, though I was surprised to see it was his biggest result (here) in 2022 so far. It was his 12th featured MTT victory this year - 1 x MidEx, 1 x Turbo, 1 x Mini Major, 2 x Sheriff, 1 x £6k BH & a staggering 6 x Quickdraws.
4th was BloomDog, who began Sunday by winning MidEx.
clarke996 has (understandably) gone off the boil since that extraordinary run of 3 Main Event wins in a fortnight in February, was 6th.

£12,000 Sunday Major (£12,000)
I've had podraic on my "one to watch" list for a month or two now & he's had plenty of encouraging results, but it was welcome to the big time as he took last night's Major & justified my faith. Has quite an odd playing profile - first played a handful of MTT's all the way back in 2009, then disappeared for 7 years before returning in 2016 & making steady progress. Then, this time last year he began to make really good profits, culminating in last night's Major, his best ever score here.
Runner-up was ozzie, who we are all familiar with, and this was his best 2022 score by a very long way indeed.
HAYSIE was prominent throughout, & at one stage had a very big chip lead. He eventually finished 4th for just shy of £1,000. He does very well in the Major of course, having won it many times, the latest being just 3 weeks ago. No man on the site gets more abuse, and you can bet the shop that he does not care one jot, he happily ploughs his own furrow.
Almost a big big result for @NOSTRI who collected £264 in 10th place. That was all profit too, as he won his seat in the Sunday Major Freeroll.

In November, fishhhhh won the Major & last night he took the junior version, quite a rare double. Sharky give him a stratospheric 94 rating, so I guess he knows the score.
We so nearly saw the Comeback of the Year as Shrimpy recovered from being down to 1BB at one stage. After recovering from that he looked like he might win it, but after a bit of a bruising beat he had to settle for 3rd. £145 is handy enough, and I guess it will all get spent on his kids, which amounts to about £10 on each of them. EDIT - just noticed he also won a £500 BH too. Positively rampant.
In 5th was ozzieowen, & as he ran 2nd in the Major, he picks up a £250 FTJ.
Talking of FTJ, for the second time recently @NOSTRI was not a mile off the FTJ - 10th in the Major, 16th here. Arguably his best performance ever.

News from GUKPT Coventry, where news reaches me that @Swog finished 4th in a sidey for some £4,500. Apparently there were 149 entries, & when it got down to 98, he started begging for a chop. No shame in that.

The Major went to @PBKR who we don't see a lot lately as he's in love.
Interestingly (?), :HAYSIE who ran 4th last night made the Final this day last year too, finishing 6th. Not too many have made as many Sunday Major Finals as Mr Awkward.
