Afternoon.
Numbers last night were mixed, the Main & Mini with total guarantees of £7,000 missed by around £200. I suppose considering Liverpool in CL action & the Test Match v West Indies were both being shown live did not help. Life generally in the little world of online poker is not going to get any easier what with the increased demands on finances due to energy prices, cost of living etc shortly to be exacerbated by the Ukraine situation, plus of course stuff like Deposit Limits, AML prevention & a much changed RG landscape. They don't call me Cheerful Charlie for nothing, but here we are. Interestingly (?), same thing happened this day last year, though the Guarantees were bigger then as we were still in the tail-end of the Boomlet.
Luckily for those of us in the UK & Ireland, we still have the great spectacle of Live Sport. My life has been much enriched by the great uncertainty of sport & I honestly don't know what I would do without it. This time last year sport was COVID impacted, & we watched football in empty stadiums, & TV companies insulted our intelligence with fake crowd noise. Thank goodness that's all behind us, at least for now.
Last night dished up the usual batch of "well I never" results. Liverpool lost to Inter, in itself a shock, but it included the odd spectacle of Mo Salah hitting the post TWICE in the same match. Must be pretty rare, surely? An even bigger surprise arose down on the south coast where Peterborough somehow drew 1-1 with Bournemouth, in fact they were a goal up at HT. Students of football form will appreciate what a major surprise that was. A great night for the Bookies, fair to say.
In cricket, it was Day 1 of the first Test v West Indies & England were soon in deep trouble at 48-4, then staged a great recovery to end the day at 268-6, much aided by Johnny Bairstow making 109 not out.
Absolutely love sport, me.

7 @ 7 went to the popular Scot @PKRPar & I was a tad surprised to see it was only his 2nd Featured MTT win of 2022, though the other was a Sharpshooter Main worth over £1,600. He was also 3rd in last night's Main, & in perusing the data I was struck by how many featured FT's he's made this year alone;
Main - 3rd, 5th, 3rd
Sheriff - 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 4th
£6k BH - 5th
BWBH - 4th
Turbo - 2nd, 5th, 3rd
MidEx - 3rd, 4th, 3rd
Quickdraw - 4th
I suppose you could argue he does not win as many as he should, but I prefer to suggest that's just variance & it will even out over time. Looks pretty good to me. I'm hoping to meet him soon at an SPT. In real life I believe he's a footballer with some Scottish Team, but I've no idea which team it is. Perhaps he'll enlighten us.

jackbeni - presumably named in honour of the famous comedian - does not feature in these threads very often at all, but this was his 2nd Main Event victory inside a year, as he won a Sharpy Main last April.A quick aside here. On the day Jackbeni won that Sharpshooter (24th April 2021), I wrote this in the Results Thread;
"The next full moon is on Tuesday, though reading the Forum you may be forgiven for thinking it was yesterday. It really was a day when the...err, eccentrics were out in force. There was even a Freedom of Information request asking how many Sky employees play on the site. Oh my".
Not much changes, does it?
Last week's Summit winner Middz68 was 2nd, with our Scottish friend Mr Par continuing his run of near-misses in 3rd.
In 5th & 6th were two friends of mine from "live" poker, Dewi-Cool - a Welsh gentleman of considerable age, great to see he's still thriving, & glencoelad, another friend who I've shared many a happy evening at Live events. Well done both.

flushflop turned up for the first time in a fortnight & single-tabled his way 1st place in the Mini. I doff my cap to anyone who can single table online, I really do.
2nd was gibbzy, who I seem to recall won FTT last week & who also does well in MML. I would imagine 2nd in a 387 runner Mini is worth a good haul of MML points so he'll likely be in contention this week too.
The eye-opener here was Ollie1717, who took a whopping 23 heads. I'm not at all familiar with this player, but feel I ought to be as he's notched up nearly 17,000 games. Deserves a medal imo.

ruane05 has played just 12 MTT's in 8 years, 7 of them this month. Has already won an SPT Brighton seat, & now takes down Mega. Good return from 7 games, that.
By Mega standards a tough FT, with cabbaz, JACKDAW, DivsDreams & Natnug all involved.

£5,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£5,300)
An absolute belter of a Summit final with the expected suspects involved. Not much more I can tell you about any of these as they feature so regularly, and you are all aware that every one of them can play a bit. I saw one of them who is a 6 figure winner referred to yesterday as "not very good" (in jest I assume). I guess that's one way of looking at it. If only I could have been "not very good" instead of chuffing useless.

I mused yesterday as to whether @Duesenberg could make it 5 cashes from 5 attempts, & it looks like my amazeballs bokking ability did the job yet again.
Incidentally, whilst I'm not a Twitcher or stream-watcher, I believe Lord Droll is doing a charity stream with others (don't recall who else, sorry) this Friday in aid of those suffering so dreadfully in Ukraine. I hope many of you will support this grand gesture as Team Stream get bladdered for a good cause.

This day last year
https://www.skypoker.com/secure/poker/sky_lobby/community/forums#/discussion/181398/who-won-what-tuesday-9th-march
I will be at SPT Glasgow 100%. Already booked myself into my brother's house as he lives in Glasgow, so it will be a pleasure to meet you and the other sky players. One thing I won't be doing is flipping for a food bill. I was never in good shape up against @roddy28 and @destinycod .... and yes I haven't let it go. Mainly as it was and will be the only time I "flip" for a bill...
In terms of football, it would be a stretch to call me a footballer at the moment. I've been sidelined with ankle ligament damage for best part of 5 months now. That and it's just the 8th tier of Scottish Football which I'm pretty sure doesn't count!!
We'll be going live on Friday at 7.00pm over on my twitch channel; twitch.tv/pkrpar [shameless plug]
I'll be live tonight about 7.00pm [another shameless plug] to warmup!!
