Smith chips out, that's all he can do.

Casey's lie is an absolute horror, it's almost as if someone trod on it. (They did not). He's called for a Ruling, but I'm not sure on what basis?

Bradley, joint 2nd of 3, is in the water, so that's his chance gone.

Casey just pops it out for a lay-up, he had no choice. Ghastly luck. His ball literally landed in someone else's pitch mark. On a huge fairway, what are the chances?

Poor approach shot by Casey means par at best. (Par 5).

Casey gets the par, so if he can navigate 17 & 18 safely we have the place money.

Smith birdies 17 to go 3 clear with just one to play. He deserves the win.

Casey pars the 17th, so should be good for joint 2nd which will do nicely.

Fantastic tee shot on the 17th from Smith, went for the smallest point of the green setting up whats seems like a victory.
Oh and this comp looks tight......

And Smith puts it in the water.....

    Would you believe it?

    @coo1-um

VERY tight, & it looks like about a four way tie for 9th including Johnson & Hovland....

That tee shot on the 17th was amazeballs. Not sure he aimed for that pat of the green tbh, but good luck to him.

Casey locks up third to lose by 2 shots - after a triple bogey 7 on the very first hole of the tournament.

    Brilliant effort.

I never banked on Hideki Matsuyama not taking part for my guess.

This is complicated, as with 9 places paid, there was a 4 way tie for 9th which included 2 of my selections, Hovland & Johnson.

    So here's copies of the bet settlements from Wm Hill;

    Viktor Hovland
    20/1
    E/W 1-1 Places, 1/1 Odds
    Bet information
    Stake: £10.00 (£5.00x2)
    Returned: £6.25

    _____________________________

    Dustin Johnson
    33/1
    E/W 1-1 Places, 1/1 Odds
    Bet information
    Stake: £10.00 (£5.00x2)
    Returned: £9.50

    ______________________________

    Paul Casey
    66/1
    E/W 1-1 Places, 1/1 Odds
    Bet information
    Stake: £10.00 (£5.00x2)
    Returned: £71.00

    _________________________________

    Hideki Matsuyama

    BET VOID

    Stake £10.00
    Returned £10.00

    £100 staked.

    Returns; - £6.25 + £9.50 + £71.00 + £10.00 = £96.75

    So total return £96.75 = £3.25 loss.
