I have always been surprised by peoples wish to show what they folded. Why would you give opponents an insight into your thinking, your strategy and your playing style. The good players on here can work that out quickly enough without being given a cheat sheet.
Surely it's only ever an ego thing, you know a "look at me, aren't I great for letting this go" moment. I may be wrong, I frequently am, but I can see no advantage in this only a downside.
On Stars I have a little icon which shows I have played over 500,000 real money hands. Not a great amount by most standards but I have never folded and shown and whilst this has not added a penny to my profit and loss it certainly saved a few by revealing as little info as possible.
