£1,000 Bounty Hunter @ 1830 (£1,010)

He's done it again. So annoying. Ever since Shrimpy was labelled by cruel sorts (not me, obv) as Bottler of the Year, Bridesmaid & God knows what else, he can't stop winning. This month alone (barely half complete) he's taken down the Mega twice, Reload, Turbo & MidEx. And technically he had two wins yesterday, as he won a £300 Turbo BH early in the morning when most decent people were in bed. If you don't know him, he's a funny guy. Funny as in funny funny, in the same way as the comedian Micky Flanagan describes the difference between going out, & going out out. (See vid below). His 8 year old Son is a bit of a whizz at football & scored 4 goals in a match last weekend. Proud Dad? Just a bit. He's a Doubtful Runner for SPT Brighton but fingers crossed we might yet see him.

In 4th was Duesenberg, aka Guitar Bloke, who many of you will know from his Twitch days, though he's currently "resting" as they say in the trade. Ask him his opinion on other players & he never fails to be respectful. Never been known to construct a sentence that does not contain either "salt", "glue" or "wizard". Probably a very likeable sort in real life, but sadly he's another not scheduled for Brighton.

    Natnug took 7 @ 7 & he's another serial winner, best recent score being last week's Summit.

    In 5th was thedazzman who you may recall won a little UKOPS last November. A real, genuine recreational poker enthusiast and I've been delighted to see him engaging on a few forum thread recently. A genuinely smashing bloke with no edge to him. More of the same please Dazzy.

    This would have been fun, as the top three all know each other - in the case of bbMike & aynaricol, I think they became acquainted at SPT Manchester, & we can add Asho28 in in the "virtual" sense.

    On which note, & pardon the diversion, I grew up to recognize the term "virtual" as meaning nearly, or almost. These days it has another meaning, describing (I think) online communication. Same word, totally different meaning. ("homonym"?). It astonishes me when I encounter folks from non-English speaking countries come to the UK & figure all this stuff out & use these terms in their correct context. Similar to salt, glue & wizards I suppose. We are seeing many Ukrainians interviewed on TV lately, for obvious reasons. It amazes me that so many of them speak fluent English. Anyone here speak Ukrainian? Thought not.

    £5,000 Hitman Bounty Hunter (£6,000)

    ScottMo1 enjoyed easily his best result of 2022 in winning last night's Hitman Main.

    The maniacal - see also "gluey" - markycash cashed yet again, he's had a great week.

    splashies was 6th, one of 4 cashes last night.

    Note that the diminutive @MattBates completed the difficult & most unusual task of taking 14 heads - over 10% of the unique entries - & yet somehow missing out on the FT. Still, £190 in Bounties alone was more than anyone except the winner. Add in £140 from the regular prize pool and it was not such a bad result really.

    @ScottMo1 1000000 1 £817.50 + £270.20 Head Prizes 7

    @darts180 0 2 £490.50 + £152.76 Head Prizes 9

    @ra1d 0 3 £300 + £143.69 Head Prizes 5

    @chrisdboy 0 4 £235.50 + £59.95 Head Prizes 4

    @markycash 0 5 £201 + £142.07 Head Prizes 6

    @splashies 0 6 £169.20 + £22.50 Head Prizes 2

    £1,500 Mini Hitman (£1,500)

    Playing his first MTT here for 14 months & only his eighth in nearly three years, hudd11 took the Mini. Let's hope we see more of Huddy, as Sky Poker are not going to earn much from him at this rate.

    5th was @LmfaoAllin who is Bristol's answer to Nigella Lawson. His pout is irresistible.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,040)

    acky1985 took MidEx. Bit of a star on the quiet, his CV includes wins in Avenger Main, Sharpshooter Main, MidEx, & has twice won a share of the Final Table Jackpot.

    In 3rd was Swog who took some time to get up to speed last night, but once he got going he did OK, cashing in events at 2300 (3rd), Midnight (3rd), 0015 (2nd) & 0030 (3rd again).

    A star is born

    As some of you may have seen, last night's Everton - Newcastle United match was interrupted by a misguided if well-meaning spectator who cable tied himself to the goalpost.

    Along comes a geezer with the biggest pair of bolt crops you ever saw & instantly becomes a meme.

    Just look at his face.

    With that amount of effort he looks like he's cutting off the guys arm rather than the cable ties. Come to think of it that would probably be an effective way of stopping other such demonstrations.

    I was really hoping someone would spot that. Quite good, I thought. (I have very low standards...)
