Shocking moment passenger opens fire from the window of a BMW 4x4 as driver chases a gang rival down a busy Manchester street
In CCTV footage, Sean Cowie (top right), 32, is seen firing two bullets while being driven through Newton Heath, Manchester, one of which hits a nearby vehicle, just missing the person inside. He was being driven by fellow gang member David Urey (pictured bottom right), 39, while their associate Paul Ryan (pictured inset), 42, followed behind in another VW Golf. The trio were sentenced to more than 17 years' prison at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Friday. The daylight drive-by was part of a plot to enact revenge on rivals who had 'very badly beaten up' one of their friends, the court heard.
