Heads Up Advice

GervuscasGervuscas Member Posts: 54
Hi everyone, hope you're all well.

I've been thinking about playing some more HU games to try and improve that part of my game as i am sure ive got some huge leaks.

I'm looking for a couple of bits of advice really, does anyone know of any good resources for learning and studying heads up game play?
Also in terms of BRM how many buy ins should i be looking at? I'm quite strict with my BRM for DYMS and MTTS and would want to be strict with this too.

also any general HU game play advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,

John

generally I would run at 50-100 buyins. I have quite a bit of experience with heads up hypers and typically at low stakes where my statistics show I have a significant edge against the overall population I can comfortably run at 50 buyins but against competent regs or competent players I would not feel comfy with less then 100 buyins or even 150-200 buyins.

egdes can be small here and nearly every reg I have encountered and been able to scope at some point has lost more then 8 of these games in a row despite been a winning player, most at some point lost 10 in a row which I know appears statistically unlikely but not so when you play literally tens of thousands of these.

If your new to the format I would recommend you always have more then 100 buyins.
