40 minute bubble in a £2.20 deepstack

Just finished with a 4th place in the 16.15 deepstack. Some good play, some luck as usual but OMG what the heck is it with the bubble 40 minutes to burst a both cash andFT bubble where the 2 shortest managed to nurse a decreasing 8 then 6 then 4 then 2.5 then 1.5 bb stack over 3 and a half levels.
By the time the bubble burst every body is so short its shove or fold poker which kind of spoils the FT a bit, well a lot really.

Absolutely no way, when play would be 3 and 4 handed and the blinds coming through pretty quick even with max tanking, that they could nurse such a low stack for so long without gaining chips at various points on the bubble.
One would double up on one table, then go back to timing out. Repeat on the other table. Think of the other 5 everybody went chip leader at some point, it wasn't like bigger stacks weren't trying to bust em, although middle stacks were pathetic.
When the bubble burst shortie was on 9,000 with blinds 4,000 and 8,000. I got to FT in 3rd with 64,000 out of 290,000 chips in play which = 8bb.
I think from now on its going to be bounty hunters, at least there's incentive to play more.
