As someone with no affiliation to either club, it all seems a bit sad. I remember when both clubs were rather better than they are now.
Derby? Deserved to go down due to the appalling mismanagement under previous owners. But. They still get decent support-3rd best in the Champo this season. Only 1 behind Forest. A Manager in Rooney who has shown far more loyalty and decency than most expected. They will get better.
Forest? Punching above their current weight. Probably got 4 or 5 players who might be good enough for the Prem-of which 2 or 3 are loan players. If that team are in the Prem next season, then they could seriously challenge Derby's unwanted record of lowest points total.
If we do go up we don't expect to stay up. But it's 20 odd long years without and I'm chuffed that the younger reds will at last see top-flight footie. They deserve it. I travelled all over England and Europe and the last 20 years have been a mare.
Wish the sheep all the best in league 1 no local derbies for us but hey ho 😆 😆
8 years ago i was at Wembley to see Derby lose to a late goal v QPR
I’m still sure that that team with a couple of additions would have been fine in the Premier League and we’d still be there
8 years later QPR send us into League 1 with a late goal
We may have been relegated but this is my favourite Derby team since 2014
They cared
In those 8 years we’ve made disastrous choices in each and every year. Terrible big money signings that ploughed us into debt The sale of great players for very little
We essentially swapped Will Hughes for Jacob Butterfield!
A pompous, arrogant owner who believed he knew best and nothing could dissuade him from that view
He got what he deserved, the disdain and anger, but us, the fans haven’t
Going forward there are a lot of ifs
If we can keep Rooney If we can keep some of the young talent we have If Kirchner comes in and brings some stability If we don’t get docked another 15 points going into the season

Have only picked up snippets of the Derby story and read Wayne Rooney turned down a role or two (Everton being one?) to commit to Derby. That's to be admired and going under the assumption that is true.
As I say I do not know much about the story outwith talk of mismanagement and lack of comms which was reported on a certain UK based news outlet.
On the surface I would be routing for Derby to stay up. A tale of facing adversity and a comeback, sadly not to be.
I will have a thought and have a small eye on the club as it was a good story and sure the journalists covering would have enjoyed working on it.
In regards to Forest - great legacy there. Brian Clough etc. not in the position to say much more as lacking the knowledge frankly. The late 70s and 80s looked like their heyday and that type of management I do like. No ego's (at least for the players) and Clough with the biggest one.
There is a story on why he called Mark Crossley "Jigsaw". It's on a video sharing website and there are articles online about it.

I suppose it's any port in a storm right now, but this Kirchner fella worries me. Something about him suggests to me he's not what he's cracked up to be financially, his money seems to be a bit smoke & mirrors.
Hope I'm wrong.
Personally, I think you'd be better with Mr Ashley. And yes, I'm serious. And we know he does have the money.

Totally agree on Kirchner Would have preferred any of the alleged other 3 bidders But beggars can’t be choosers and we have to take a leap of faith that he can deliver what he’s promising

The play offs we have an appalling record in.
derby lowest points total will be beaten by whoever goes up in play offs fancy a bet Phil?
But-if it is Forest going up, I can't see them staying up. Or even getting close. Where are the goals coming from?
