A very strange hand for a number of reasons. Not quite sure how it didn't go all in pre flop, although a few people at the table had been slow playing big hands for reasons I don't know.

Certainly the first time that I've had pocket Kings preflop and been losing to two opponents. Does anyone know what the chances of two opponents being dealt the same pocket pair are?

Hard to believe that KK, AA and AA can be dealt out in one hand, especially at 6-max. At least it was only a 2p/4p game and not a higher stakes game/tourney.

    Certain sure, you know this, you are, actually;

    2% 2% 76% split, with your KK 20 % hand equity.

    Now, as for, six max no limit deal, AA AA KK pockets,

    I dust off my abacus, hang on a moment, which usually means, one of my fans, will let you know, the pure deal odds,before I work it out, with, quill, ink, long hand,etcetera.

    there are 6 ways to get AA/AA and 6 ways to get KK = 36 ways

    ways to deal 6 cards to 3 people
    there are 52! /46! x 6! = 20,358,520 ways to deal 6 cards

    36 / 20,358,520 = 1/ 565,514 [ hopefully this is correct now]

    Interesting hand & responses, so I've moved this across to Poker Chat where it will get more eyeballs.

    Ah, this thread goes back a while. Was a bit of a strange one with two people opting to slow-play AA.

    Crikey, all that maths hurts my head. :lol: Will assume you're right with that. Safe to say it's an extremely rare occurrence.

    Coincidentally, I believe @Toffeeandy had a hand like this in last night's session.

    Whoops, I never realised this was a bumped thread from 2020.

    Apologies.
