Met policewoman 'who had sex' while appearing on Nigerian version of Big Brother without permission is allowed to keep her job as she is given final written warning
PC Khafilat Kareem left the UK to take part in Nigerian Big Brother without permission, and took her work laptop with her which she then gave to the show's producers.
She asked for permission to go on Nigerian Big Brother. It was refused. She then asked for unpaid leave. Told that is fine, provided don't use the time to go on Nigerian Big Brother. Which she promptly did. For 77 days. She also appears to have handed over a police computer to the programme producers for "safekeeping" during the programme.
So-deliberately disobeying a lawful instruction. Potentially massive data protection breach. Dishonesty.
She must have genuine qualities to make the Met want to give her a 2nd chance.

It sets a really bad precedent. What would you have to do to be fired.

Not neccessarily. This is the same force that allowed Cressida D1ck to rise to the very top.

The Police have very clear guidelines on 2nd jobs-here is an example.

Everything was very clear.
Ridiculous.
