Afternoon.
Before we start, a couple of things.
Firstly, after I was unable to do a proper Results Thread yesterday a whole bunch of lovely people wrote to me & asked if I was OK, for which I was very touched. I was just busy really, plus I'm still feeling the after effects of a nasty dose of COVID which has zapped my energy, zest & enthusiasm for pretty much anything & everything. It's not the COVID as such, it's all the little side-effects it leaves behind, worst of which is a sort of lingering 'flu. Man flu, obv. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise, COVID is real, & it's dreadful, even if, like me, you are fully vaccinated. I can only imagine it must be terrible for the older folks amongst us.
Secondly, I just wanted to mention a few highlights from Monday night, which of course I never commented upon yesterday.
Palace Bloke @cpfc_2010 absolutely smashed the Elim Fr, 19 heads, extraordinary - & he never even won it. Well done Eamonn.
The winner was a played named "county" who I know well from my PLO8 days here. This poor fella got dog's abuse from everyone as he took unconventional lines & limped a lot. But my oh my, he was hard to beat. Just because a player does not follow the book does not make them bad. In NLHE these days if you 3X or 4X - or anything except 2.3X or whatever - there's a whole subset of players who will mock, abuse & generally finger-point. Weird. Eventually, they'll realise, in poker, different is not necessarily bad.
@Shrimpy28 had a cracker of a night, played both the early evening £1k BH's, winning one, & third in the other. He's undoubtedly the best Shrimp on the site.
Finally, @MAXALLY at last qualified for a Vegas Semi Final. Nobody has tried harder & more often, so I'm pleased he eventually got there.

Pleased to see Doubleme get on the Featured MTT Honours Board for the first time. The fella gets so much stick here it's unbelievable, & anyway, I always like to root for the underdog. And it may well be that the laughs are on his detractors rather than him as it's they are who being trolled & him who is doing the trolling. Who even knows? I do have a strange feeling that 12 months down the line he'll be one of the more popular posters here. Quote that one for truth if you like.

FlynTimber ended 2021 with 3rd in the UKOPS Main for over £2,000. Went quiet until April, when was 3rd in a Major for £1,100, and won a Sharpshooter Main for £1,200. Now consider how many games they've played here in 2022 - less than 80 - so that's a quite remarkable strike rate.
