https://www.cityam.com/tory-mp-claims-food-bank-users-cannot-cook-or-budget-properly-and-meals-cost-30p-a-day/So he actually claims meals cost 30p a day wow really if only we could budget properly and cook properly.
I would love to see his lessons showing me the budget for this and how to cook it.
Our shopping bill is typically £70 a week. This does include toiletries etc so say £65. at 30p a day each that is 60p a day as I live with my girlfriend. So we could actually get by on £4.20 a week for our food shop?
I mean I guess if Bought flour in bulk and lived on a diet of bread and potatoes this may be achievable. not sure how healthy that would be though.

This is a real contender:-

A despicable human being. I hope and trust the electorate soon give him the opportunity to be unemployed.
Ahh, he ticks every box, a Tommy Robinson fan, COVID denying, anti-vaccine, anti BLM conspiracy theorist.
And be aware that in his constituency, like most others, use of food banks has skyrocketed.
I see that his local foodbank organisers had to pass on the reins to another charity, as they could not cope with the increased demand. And that there are several foodbanks in his constituency, all no doubt being tarred with the same brush, and having to fend off enquiries from fearful poverty-stricken people as a result of his stupid statements, rather than doing their job.
The idea that cooking from scratch is cheaper is soooo middle class. If you have a spare £100 for the basics-the 3 different oils, the onions, the garlic, the spices, the meat/chicken/eggs, the filled fridge and freezer, the ability to pay for an oven for several hours, it is all very doable. Although, even then, not necessarily cheaper. Because people like him do not realise that the "cheaper cuts" of meat are still too expensive for the poor.
The only thing that he seems to have managed to carry over from his time in the Labour Party is his antisemitism...
