I honestly really worry for you Doubleme.

You could just let him get on with things rather than post to put him down, if he is happy and not harming anyone what is the problem? Of course some of his posts are pretty strange but he is happy being silly as I believe he puts it then what is the problem?

On board with the "he is happy being silly" and posts about Winni the Pooh in general as it's just mad. He seems to enjoy posting these sillies and as you say what is the harm in that. I have laughed out loud at the daftness of the posts. He is harmless.

Only Doubleme is aware if he needs to take action and his mental state.

Sorry Matt you misunderstand me. I'm not putting Doubleme down. I actually think he's weird but in a bloke who has you in fits of laughter way, rather than weird, change seats on the bus kind of way.

When I say I worry about him it is from a genuine concern. We all have a daft side, me more than most, it's just that sometimes there seems to be a shift almost between posts that goes from amusing and entertaining to wtf dude where's your head at with no middle ground.

I guess I spend too long around people who have issues and see things that aren't there.

My bad and my apologies to @Doubleme if he thinks I'm being disrespectful.

For the record I did not see TheEdge949/Mark's post as putting Doubleme down at all and had seen it as coming from a place of care and compassion for the guy.

Will say, I have been lucky enough to spend a few hours chatting with Mark outwith the forum and I think he is one of the good guys here.

I also think the posts about his girlfriend by some are a lot more uneasy reading than anything TheEdge949 has posted.

Again Doubleme has taken the banter well while some (at least in my eyes) are looking to play to the gallery and trying to score brownie points by attempting to be funny at someone's expense. I say carry on Doubleme :)

Are you proposing that there should be some rules on the forum banning disagreements?
Arent the posting of silly threads likely to generate comments, not all of which will agree with the content, or the poster?

Trying to be funny on a forum is a serious crime.
If you have ever taken the pi55 out of anyone, in your life, it will unfortunately have been at someones expense.
I have never seen anyone mention your girlfriend on this forum.
Do you think that may be because you dont include her in every other thread that you start?
Could you point out any derogatory comment that I have made regarding his girlfriend?
Do you think the below was reasonable, or ridiculous?

yes but then people get her first name at an SPT event and or hear her surname mentioned. Then on one occasion they hear the mothers maiden name and bang they got all they need. Its pretty easy to gather someones personal details over time to do identify theft with. I have been a victim of this before.

Not today Haysie. I think your posts were fine btw. The imaginary girlfriend lines are wearing thin though in general and quite overdone. Maybe Doubleme likes the banter and the talk though.

All for flak and yes he does set himself up and with one thread in particularly with yourself. I posted on that saying something like "it wouldn't be me" or similar. Not anti-banter and if banter doesn't go too far sometimes then where is the line?

It's ok to push things, point was mainly some of the lines 'looked cheap' and have gotten to the stage of being rather boring. That was it, no more, no less.
