Just binge watched this and WOW.
I can understand why John Lydon tried to stop it as it paints him in a bad light compared to the others, despite the fact it was really only him and Glen Matlock who had any real writing talent.
Glad it shows Malcolm MacLaren for the manipulative shyster he was, something Lydon was on to very quickly, and also portrays the influence that Vivienne Westwood, Jordan (not that one the original) and Chrissie Hynde had on the group.
With the exception of a couple of time lines it rings pretty true and brilliantly portrays the toxic relationships between the different cliques.
Powerful, rampant, raw and a good depiction of punk attitudes and ethos , if you ever pogoed, gobbed, spiked or wore mohair, bin liners and safety pins FX's Pistol is a must watch.
