Notwithstanding our first world problems - Boris, Brexit, rampant inflation, strikes galore (or the USA equivalent) life is toasty for most of us with our Smart TV's, Smart 'Phones, fridges packed with an abundance of food, running water, cars with air-con & electric windows, a functioning if overwhelmed NHS, free vaccines & God knows what else, right across the world there are whole communities of migrants trying to find a better life.
I'd be more than happy to see my standard of living reduced by 20% or 30% if it enabled these poor souls to have a better life, & I doubt if I'm alone in that view. The global postcode lottery has been kind to us, let's acknowledge that & try to help the less fortunate.
Life is so unfair, most especially for those seeking a better life.
I watched a podcast the other day with someone addressing the plight of those complaining in this country. He pointed out that ANYONE in this country is in the top 1% of people by wealth or privilege in the world, yet we complain, over and over again.

We just don't appreciate how lucky we are.
As a Nation, we genuinely don't realise how lucky we are, do we?
The least we could do is offer a helping hand to those less fortunate.
We live like Kings and Queens okay we work hard for that privilege but most of the world doesn't have that opportunity
