Is anyone gonna actually watch it ? I'm watching the opening ceremony but I don't think I'll be making it a must watch sporting event. Of course if there's a final involved then I'll pretend I've been following it for years but good luck to England Ladies (can I call them that nowadays) anyway.

I've been pleasantly surprised that I've actually enjoyed watching the England games,ok some of the games have lacked the technical ability of top class mens games but for determination,effort,commitment and team work it's lacking nothing. The crowds have been fantastic with the team engaging with them after each game. This little girls reaction sums it all up to what it can mean to the future of the sport that this England squad are providing to the fans.

I've only watched 3 or 4 of the games but I've thoroughly enjoyed them. It's especially pleasing that there is so much less time-wasting, feigning of injuries & theatrical rolling around compared to the men's game.

Attendances at Women's games this season will go through the roof.

I thought a good decision made before the tournament started was that any dissent shown towards the officials would result in a Yellow card. Imagine that in the men's game, games would end up 5 a side.

I was not aware of that but it's a brilliant decision. PLEASE let's have the same in the men's game.

Going back to my previous post, in last night's intensely competitive Germany - France match, the first time the trainer had to come on to attend to an injury was the 87th minute. Imagine THAT in the men's game.

I'm going back to my Primary/Junior school but back in the day (1970's) after each Summer 6 weeks school holiday, on the first day back at school in September everyone had to tell what they'd done in the holiday's. Mine was mostly went to Camber Sands a few times,hung about the woods making camps & nicking golf balls off of the local course and selling them back to the players. But can you imagine what Tess will have to 'Show & Tell' to her classmates,even though I'm pretty sure they'd already know about her Summer experiences. What memories this girl as well as others will have of the Summer 2022.
